Motorola BACKFLIP and CLIQ get US-only Android 2.1 update

I'm tired of this. Everything for the USA. Well, i want to say something. They are NOT the only country in the world! Wake up people. I'm from Argentina, and it's really dissapointing for me. Now, i'm not sure to buy this phone. Thanks motorola!

What happens if u use the US version of the update in a different region phone?

why such kind of discrimination...i am a backflip user from india and wanted to upgrade my software...but its not available in india...its only for US markets...if motorola has to give all the preference to US why the hell it launched the phone in india...m greatly dissapointed..i loved this phone but this phone is so bloody limited!!

Rooted my dext got 2.1 live wallpapers the lot .Still wont be considering another motorola phone when i upgrade. Had same thing with i8910 and samsung think i'll try htc next they seem to give their customers decent aftersales support,though with my luck they wont be any better lol.

How about the I?music brand? Released its "top of the line" phone which cost at least US$100 more than Milestone in April with "1.6", and it took the company til Oct (if not later in some areas) to get so called "update", without features like multi-touch?

They have been extremely disappointing in most parts of the world except the US. We just got the outdated milestone, lol , at the same time as the fabulous htc desire hd! Motorola need to make better phones and update them quickly unlike the dext and backflip which are still stuck on 1.5... gsmarena are right to say think twice, or even not think about it at all when deciding to buy motofail devices, coz they simply are not worth the money.

hopefully this update will make moto cliq performance better. android 2.1 is ver nice. this should also make moto cliq able for video chat - right ???

Gsmarena do not like motorola we know that. for example droid 2 global is released, droid x is going mexico and india as motoroi x, moto dogz 4g 1.2ghz, super lcd, front camera, android 2.3 reveled still nothing post by gsmarena still we believe droid 2 global, milestone 2 hd, droid x, droid pro, moto defy, moto dogz and droid terminator will make moto more stable in 2011 due to the quality of those handset that are almost unbeatable by other brands.

Motorola owners in latin-america will never buy Motorola again !!! 300 U$S is a lot if money for us, for a phone without update !! No skype for us, no new aplications................
