The design couldn't be more of a copy, it's unbelievable. Front, back, sides and probably even the name.

Had I bought the phone going solely by the renders, I'd be disappointed - to me, it looks rather bad with a light wallpaper. It doesn't make much difference with the black model, but that one is a fingerprint magnet, so a no-go for me as well.

1)I am a xiaomi lover, but I will hate them for that circular home button.
2)back design render is one of the laziest fakes I have ever seen.
                            3) I don't believe in the circular home button rumors also, but I will hate xiaomi if it becomes real.

Actually a MI 2S. Anyway, it is indeed updated to the latest MIUI 8 and it has never been faster or smoother. I wish they would fix the annoying problem of the internal memory being formatted in two partitions though, a too-small partition for OS and apps, and a much larger for data. And I wish it was a bit slimmer and lighter with better battery life. But in terms of the OS's usability and look and feel, it's like brand new. I'm hoping they finally release another 4"-ish small-bodied phone, but not holding my breath. Not enough options these days in smaller phones, almost everything is huge.

This looks cheap, the bezel width looks strangely wide for Xiaomi too. I'm waiting for the Mi Note 2 Pro to to replace my Mi Note, and wife's Mi Note Pro. As an iPhone user of 7 years before going to Xiaomi I know exactly what Apple is about. iOS10 supports iPhone 5 and up, that's 5 years which is great for apple, but that's not 6+. The problem is how much they start to lag. Even iPhone 6 users are complaining about ios10 lag.

On the other hand Xiaomi's Mi2 is also 5 years old and still getting updates, I don't know anyone that has one but the Mi3 is still blazing fast on the latest Miui8.

Also that home button above is fake, they take pride in good original designs(except Mi4). They also have a far superior camera to iPhone. They also have a better material and implementation. Ceramic vs alloy, no back camera bump despite better IOS and many other finer details. All this for half the price of the iPhone with the same storage.
