The RAM figures for Mi5S Plus seems to be wrong - 2299 Yuan is for 4G/64G model and 2599 Yuan is for 6G/128G model. Also another point to note is that Mi5S Plus doesn't have the Ultrasonic Fingerprint sensor (it has a conventional one).

Overall I'm not that excited.... After the Note 7 fiasco, new Nexus phones rumored to be priced too high and nothing exciting from Lenovo/Xiaomi etc..... I think I'm gonna delay my upgrade and wait another 9 months for phones based on SD830.

Nice phones, but price starts with $299 in China. In rest of the world it will be at least $599 = overpriced.

yuri, 27 Sep 2016True but you can't really compare an open platform like And... moreAs a matter of fact, most specs like ram, screen, soc, and maybe camera are just for numbers, currently there's no need for qhd, 4gb ram, all flagship soc, in App Store or play store. The only reason why i think all these high end specs would make sense is when there's an app for it, say god of war 4 mobile with a minimum required specs of flagship specs cus right now there's no app that the iPhone 7s, s8 or mi 5s will run that a redmi Note 3 pro won't run.

Very aggressive pricing but they are with 99% probability only valid for China. Of course this is assuming that the device even goes for sale outside it.

I think what Xiaomi is doing is pretty smart on the other hand. They take away attention from the stock Android and upgrade their own skin which they have more control of, then the Android versions.
But truly, i have no issues whatsoever with 3gb ram and everything else is really only showing off, while you don't gain anything but a milisecond maybe in the performance imho.
