I REALLY hope Samsung have FIXED the GPS issues and/or not used the GPS from the SGS which acts faulty and is rather useless. Hope they get it right this time!

Anonymous, 17 Nov 2010Of course it's Super AMOLED, that QP{i Anonymous is a dumba... moreI assume QP means question poster? I am not a SE employee, it was a genuine concern because of the article. I really want superamoled, to me amoled's advantages were not worth the downside (since I am always outdoors). Its what kept me from getting a samsung last time

To other repliers, thanks for the reassurance on the OTA updates things! I am sooo getting this phone.... gonna make myself a keyboard for it and it will be perfect :) (all you naysayers just wait I already have the design in mind, its just a brace that holds a bt keyboard with a hinge).

The only thing holding this phone back is the Samsung brand. I mean, it is known for slow updates and terrible support.

I hate how misleading and presumptuous GSMarena articles can be.

You denied the entire merit of your story with a single quote from Eric himself; "an unannounced phone by an announced manufacturer".

The phone better have a dedicated camera button and led flash, I have a samsung vibrant. I hate the fact that my phone does not have that. It should be a standard by now. Plus, I have been running into alot of bugs!!!! Samsung, you guys and gals, need to get your sh*t together! The hardware is great, but the software is crappy!

Mick, 17 Nov 2010The reason why big amoled screen phones are made by plastic... moreYou are right. There is nothing wrong with a plastic body as long as it's durable. Iphone4 looks really nice because of its glass body. But it's not as durable compared to others. Glass body easily breaks.

I don't see why people are arguing about design when obviously the market is after the technology of a phone. There's not much you could do to pretty up a big slab of screen, now can you? Maybe a difference in buttons, bezels and the rear cover but not much.

Anyways, I just hope this will use a stock Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and OTA updates come from Google directly. So basically there's no influence from the manufacturer, software-wise. And quit whining about the cheap materials, as if plastic's done something wrong to you.

The reason why big amoled screen phones are made by plastic is to protect when it drops in the floor. If it's made with an hard material the screen will break easly. Also, plastic is no falling easly from the hand.

It's 100% ok to have plastic, but what's not ok is to have cheap plastic that gives the impression that you live in the dark ages :P

Maybe 1.2ghz just to distinguish this phone from Galaxy S(and NFC too)... And I really don't understand some people why they want a heavy metal phone??! When it drops it will damage the device more and it also raises the price.... I actually like plastic just like 5/6 million people why bought SGS..:D
