all commenters plz shut your mouth bcoz u dont know anything about cellphones. SE is giving 800 MHz bcoz it can be overclocked to 1GHz depending on O.S. And manufacturer. And also bcoz it uses less battery.

To all you chumps that are neggin out about SE, sod off and read your Samsung blogs.

This is still a rhumour and i'm sure there will be loads of stuff being said that is wrong.

People complaining about CPU speeds, shhh. Wait untill it comes out and then judge on how well the handset reacts during everyday use. Look at apple. MacBooks used to have much slower processors on paper compared to laptops running windows.... yet always always considerably faster.

but the problem is SE NEVER have good news - they are ALWAYS in last place (in both hardware and software standpoint of view) right after Apple. Except Apple actually MANAGES to sell their ChinaPhone with ugly bubbly icons

Anonymous, 17 Nov 2010800MHz Qualcomm MSM 7230 processor...?!?! Another dissapoin... morehow is dat a disappontment? look at HTC Desire Z, scoring higher in cpu benchmarks than 1ghz snapdragons. 7230 is 2nd gen, built on 45nm.

snapdragon is not a processor, its a chipset, 7230 is a package that in total outperforms 1ghz snapdragons in many areas. stop looking at clockspeeds, get a clue first. if u want u can get a 3.6ghz pentium 4 but it will not outperform a core processor at much lower clock speed.

I loved SE so much, i still do ofcourse :) But SE... U dissapointed me and so many others with this.
Is it asking too much to give us a good enough phone? Same story with anzu as X10 - old outdated software and hardware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After being a loyal SE fan for years now I am sad and sorry but I will move on :)
I will not buy a SE product again till u make me go wow.

Hope u will and soon :)

An official announcement of the device and its specs would be nice, and perhaps a release date instead of the elusive "coming soon". This time last year the x10 was leaked and took half a year to come out when no one wanted it anymore. Can SE redeem themselves? Will they use the software of tomorrow rather than yesterday, 1080p camera recording instead of 720p, bluetooth 3.0 so we can watch it all on our Full HD screens wirelessly, multi-touch, a quality screen, and a battery to support it all, and will we get it on release rather than wait for an update? Most importantly can they deliver their latest and greatest before the competition begins selling a phone that leaves it in the shadows? Their hand held designs are the sexiest in the game, but its a rough industry where features and software tend to win over customers. I reckon if this doesn't come out before February, this phone will be too expensive and too late.

Anonymous, 18 Nov 2010of course. faster mhz faster process. what explanation is needed. No, that's absolutely wrong. Only valid for the same familly of CPU. Remember Centrinos and Pentium processors. In later tames MHZ speeds in computer are more or less the same but the total cpeed and computer power as increased.
There is a lot of other things do consider, ram (speed and size), graphics card, etc.
Just ask the AMD guys, they always said that MHZ wasn't what it was all about.
