I own the SE X10 and we just received the eclair update last night. It's good but it's still not good enough to put my phone on equal grounds compared to other android devices. Even the iPhone puts my X10 to shame and out classes it on pretty much every way. I'm starting to have buyer's remorse after reading through this thread. It's sad but the haters are right.
I'm no tech genius and this point of view is coming from an average joe and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure things out. When my android using friends talks about things that I simply don't have on my phone it makes me feel like I'm wielding an outdated piece of slab. It gets even worst when my iPhone using friends gets to start conversation with girls in the club using their iPhones. Girls loves the iPhone and they just look at my X10 and move on to the next guy. I hope Sony will come up with a better phone in the future that will become a status symbol.

To all sony ericsson haters I just wanna ask you why do you keep on reading Xperia X10 news and post your opinions you don't like the x10 ok then go ahead enjoy your mobile(whatever it is) and post comments on your mobiles' section not here we XPERIA X10 owners are the one's who are supposed to be posting our opinions here discussing anything even if it's a negative thing coz we are the one's who own this set. Just a note, from the reflection on the screen, you will notice that the video is being captured by a white X10.
A second note is to tell everybody that it is pointeless to fight over about a product since you didn't make it. You just bought it and keep for yourself the happiness, and don't be bothered about somebody else's opinion. You choose a product FOR YOU. Life is more complicated and there are more interesting things to bother than fighting around for a product you didn't make, but just bought. Not happy with anything? Either make your own or suicide! (jocking).

I am merely stating the ineffectiveness of SE as a renown phone manufacturer and the inferiority of the X10 (currently) when compared to other smartphones today. I have NEVER said the X10 was an incapable phone or that it did not work fine with Donut or Eclair and in no way were my posts here in relation to Apple or iPhones for that matter. If they were, it was just an answer to another SE fanboy's ridiculous claim about how great your huge slab of brick is.
I DO NOT own an iPhone or an X10 but I work with mobile phones/devices everyday and have held and tested numerous handsets (Both iPhone and X10 too!) So I believe I know what I'm talking about.

At least SE isn't like samsung. Their galaxy spica was crap, as they didn't enable stuff like multitouch or enable the 3d hardware that is present in the spica. Yes, we had to depend on hackers to enable these things. (samdroid)
Good that SE is putting matters into their own hands, though they should have enabled multitouch from the start.
Samsung has this annoying habit of ignoring old phones. Maybe they will dump the galaxy s after a while too..

The phone works absolutley fine for me even when it was on donut... which is alot more than I can say for 3 sulking friends of mine that had to return their iPhones within a month for various issues. Now hopefully thats not the reason you have all this time on your hands... waiting for your 3rd replacement perhaps?!

Fantastic news that multi touch is finally coming to X10. Lack of MT was a major drawback for the device and one of the key reasons why i didn't purchase this device (other being no radio..) and am deciding HTC Desire HD instead, I would never consider samsung and their buggy froyo update.

-why is ram so low? it has 512mb but you will always get 30mb if you dont use task killers. (my nexus always got 100mb+ no matter what application i open)
-buggy software, sumsung's touchwiz just sucks
-lag, lag, lag.. it is the laggiest android ever! but thanks to its processor at least..
-update also sucks, it is just like SE! dont hope for 2.3 LOL!
