Wish I can fill my q10 with an android os. I really want an affordable phone with pkb so much but rim keep doing wrong things.

Sorry that info is wrong. It is not and Alcatel Idol 4... thats the DTEK50.
The DTEK60 is based on the Idol 4S with a bunch of improvements.
"Unlike the IDOL 4S, however, the DTEK60 will feature a Snapdragon 820 CPU (instead of a Snapdragon 652) 4GB of RAM (instead of 3GB), 21MP rear-facing camera (VS the 4S’s 16MP camera), and, of course, will feature BlackBerry’s own Android skin. And as a bonus, from the looks of these photos, the DTEK60 will feature a USB-C port, unlike the 4S which uses a micro-USB port."

$700 CND unlocked isnt bad for a Snapdragon 820 based phone with 4GB ram.

people are turning stupid these days with more usage of internet. The price is USD 500$ which is right in my opinion. The priv was so good. Lets see if this fills it's gaps. And yeah the design is good. People stop complaining buy it or leave it. Chinese phones do give good specs but quality sucks on software side. Talking about LeEco,Xiaomi,Meizu etc.

I don't know the price of the TCL phone that this is based on but I bet it is somewhere around half of what BB is charging, with what, if any, added value? I certainly would never consider paying CDN $700 for it when I could get a ZTE Axon 7 or OP3 or some other comparable Chinese phone for a bit over CDN $500 or even less.

$700 is not too much for this device, because latest snap dragon chip, qhd 5.5 display, high resolution cameras, 4 gb ram, best build quality, normally this price will be gradually lower as well as other brands. Please don't compare with cheap products like Xiaomi and Le TV and other Chinese brands with Blackberry.. .

i don't see how this is overpriced; BB doesn't need to rebuild the brand, its name is worth the price itself...plus is still an Android inside now...a Sony Z2 has similar specs still cost $500...a Sasmung can easily go from $700-1000+
software can make a come back on its own; phones is just another arm for testing their software; ppl pay for Google phones in the $500+ and they are rebrands from LG, HTC etc; what gives then

700CDN equals approx 500USD....come on guys use your heads this is a good deal especially considering the blackberry software and that it will receive security patches before any other phone.

unbelievable, some people are hoping bb to make comeback, but this is ridiculous, $700 for a rebranded phone? I'd rather buy verizone smart platinum, it has more attractive design although weaker since using SD652
