These have more Google genes than even the Nexus phones before them.

With the OP3 around, I wouldn't even buy the XL 32GB, if it was for 400$...

Wait... so now you have to buy the product and you are still the product!

I highly recommend watching the live stream recording on GSM home page. I gained an understanding of why this is the best smart phone camera in its class. Improved artificial intelligence coming closer to human response built right into the phone and a plethora of other great stuff. Wish I had one write now. very exciting for Google this day. kit is beauuuuutiful

At last Google/HTC made a phone looks similar to iPhones... Even the OS itself doesn't have app drawer!!
                    .

Give it 3 months with paltry sales and then magically Google will slash the price $100 or maybe a bit more...

so, we can bash a Blackberry for being at $400 but people would be similar specs for over a $1000??? thats what I call hatin.

I'm going back to Google phones after years with the Xperias (good phones, btw). Missing the quick updates of the Nexuses (had Nexus One, Galaxy, 4, 5 and 6) and liking the AI I see in Google Allo.

That's it... Google has lost it completely. I'm a vivid Nexus user (Samsung Nexus, Nexus 5 & 6p) but this time I prefer to burn my money than to buy this sh*... I'd never thought that I say this, but even the iPhone is a better deal!

From what I read, nothing extraordinary like sensors/look/cameras/screen. Looking back at xiaomi/Meizu, they bring at least something special every time even for less price. If it would be just about OS, samsung, sony, lg, huawei etc. Wouldn't stand a chance. But it isn't. At least I can hope microsoft will do better. That would be 3rd co. with own os in their device. Maybe even samsung will come with their OS, it would be about time they did, with support of andr. Apps for example. Will be interesting to see who comes with best mix of OS and HW.

I'm a big fan of Google but will have to say the phone is overpriced.
At this pricing the phone is going to be a flop.
Competitive pricing was always Nexus niche. But guess not Pixel phones.

                                I'm happy with my N6P.

I absolutely love this phone. Its totally gorgeous. AI takes a leap and its just premium. Best Buy have it for $399 on a plan

                                    haha,seriously?
                                    Who wants an iphone?
and drill a hole for headphone jack?
                                    Pay 10k for a 5k device
                                    ?
only punchbags would go for it.
Have tried using Apple products ,since i had a dream of getting one before achieving success in my business, and when gold struck ,and when i established my business empire,i understood Iphone is good for nothing.
Sorry mate if i hurt your feelings.

OnePlus 3 because: it's a lot better looking and slimmer (7.3 vs. 8.6mm), less bezel (also with hardware buttons), camera has OIS (though a little smaller pixels which might help with about one stop, OIS helps with 3-4 stops, so while the Pixels need to shoot a picture with ISO 800 and 1/30s, the OP3 could go with ISO 100 instead and 1/4s thanks to OIS, therefore delivering a cleaner image with less noise and higher resolution even with smaller pixels), 1080p display required less power and resources (I'm expecting about the same battery life, but better performance in games), plus you get a 64GB phone at about half the price. So, Google, you're insane.

very good phone but DXOmark is 89 antutu 145000. let's put aside 157000 antutu benchmark of htc 10 in gsmarena and say it averages at 135000(i have seen htc 10 under normal conditions got 138000- temp 26C wifi and 3g network on, near full memory and all social apps running_also it's not harmful to say antutu scores by updating to 7.0 will go up by update to 7.X witch google complains that does some operations 600% faster ) and about DXO it only surpases htc 10 by one point because htc 10 was tested before gets update and i assume it has the exact same camera with different flash. and what about the design? worst shaped less elegant Htc ever built (i think pixel got it's name from it's design to be fair) (remember orange, desire HD, desire s .... one a9, one m9 and 10)
and yes ... it will sell like hell because the word "google" on it's body.
