Everyone has observed this with their software products and same holds true phones and tablets.

Even modular phone idea is scrapped after so much of hype and glasses and list goes on and on.

Google is good only for RnD part and not good and implementing at Large scale as Apple OR Samsung can do.

Android Pay is far behind compared to Samsung Pay and Apple Pay and will be next to RIP

Theyr software is infinitely better than Samsung's and its hardware is on par with Samsung's, whereas its definetly trying to overthrow the Iphone 7 with the "Pure Android" vs "Pure IoS" theme, which will come down to personal preference. Overhaul tough, id say all of them are on the same level of quality.

Anonymous, 04 Oct 2016Google tried to compete with Apple/Samsung rather than offe... morewhy is it a bad move exactly? they're taking another aproach other than what huawei and OP are doing (in some way) so they try to stablish the brand as high standard, now sadly, the first Pixel duo lacks a bit to truly compete with the top dogs, but they can learn and evolve, phones will still sell (hopefully as planned) and next Pixel phones might get better, can't say that's the strategy for sure since i don't make the calls but it's fair to assume it is for now, if u don't like it cuz the prices (as many will) it's ok, u can buy another phone that really suits u ^_^

Yes, it's disappointing that Pixel phones are overpriced but still Google is a more innovative company than Samsung or Apple.

Google tried to compete with Apple/Samsung rather than offering a cheap alternative, bad move.
