Write a complaint email to Motorola about violation of soft update policy. If 10000 email reach then Motorola has to released for Moto-G3.

I was the biggest fan of motorola since childhood and now after lenovo taking motorola and killing its usually good reputation i believe switching to a nexus or google pixel phone will be better and motorola is confirmed with 2 year of os updates but moto g3 got just one year of update this is how lenovo is trying to do business killing the goodwill of motorola and trying to sell lenovo cheap phone.. Ill just say Motorola is gone. Cheap and chinese built of lenovo arrives with fake commitments and promises. God bless u lenovo

But then the whole update procedure of Android is broken anyway. Still have a January security patch on my phone

why was moto g 3rd gen not updating to Android N

Aloof, 08 Oct 2016Doesn't the G Play use SD410 too?Yes, but the GPU is unsupported. Google clearly stated that every device running Nougat must support Vulkan and OpenGL 3.1. I do not know what's going on, maybe Lenovo made a custom driver or they implemented Vulkan as a low-level API in their Moto Pure...
If fact, if the G Play does get N, there is no reason the G3 should not get it (Or even the G2 because the Moto series often get Nexus-lasting support even on their lowest end E series)

I have been using moto g2 since 2014.the update policy has been good..but it's sad to here that moto g3 won't be updated to Android 7...also on the official page it does not show that moto g2 will not receive further update like other few phones it is showing...does it mean that it will b available in future..thanks for ur reply...

When I bought my Moto G3, it was because of the good update policy of Motorola.
When they update like other brands, I will also buy other brands next time...
