But I never said that Nougat is impossible for G3. I wrote in order to pass Google's certification a device needs to have support for OpenGL ES 3.1 or Vulcan API 1.0.
Custom Roms are always there if needed. Official update seems unlikely.

Mine too.. . My Moto G (3rd Gen) is not even a year old and now you say it won't get Nougat? Very2 disappointed Motorola.. . I never buy your moto phones again in my whole life.. . Buy buy

Moto G 3gen will not get it. I only hold Lenovo responsible for it. There was a single MM update since phone was released . Post purchase customer service sucks too. I advice not to buy any Lenovo phone.

People are crazy about updates that adds 1 or 2 features, there's plenty of updated custom ROMs to install, after 1 year you won't have warranty anyway, my experience with updates from the manufacturer has been always very bad, these updates often have bugs and slows down the phone.
I rather install a better custom ROM than wait for the manufacturer. I don't even care much about updates, for example Lollipop from 2014 is still functional and runs every app available on the Play Store.

go to hell Motorola...my Moto G3 is already running on Nougat courtesy CM14...before any of your new ones can even imagine tasting it...will never buy any Moto phone again...Lenovo has ruined the brand.,,,
