05 October 2016
Major retailers and carriers in the Netherlands have it in stock, and so does Best Buy in the US.

Asterkikasd, 06 Oct 2016Faster charging does lead to degradation of lithium lithium... moreActually there are reports of serious battery problems when usb c 3.1 and quickcharge are combined.
Vbus allows 4.5v and qc inputs 9v which causes heat accumulation.
Also lots of battery damage reported on wireless charging devices, including note5s and s6, s7 devices.

Thats why obviously Sony went the safe way of usb 2.0 and no wireless charging.

It doesn't make the batteries blow up but it makes them lose charging capacity and that shortens battery life over time.

The design might not be to publicly acceptable, but the good news is that Sony's IPS screen engineering remains first class. To the naked eye, it looks attractive, and our X-Rite colorimeter certainly thought so too. The 5.2-inch Full HD display reproduces a nigh-on perfect 99.3% of the sRGB color gamut, hits a highest brightness resolution of 609.7cd/m2, and however, on the other side has a huge contrast ratio of 1,365:1.

Just read this article using a UK Xperia XZ which I received through the post today! Lovely phone and a major upgrade from my trusty (but not waterproof) Xperia Z3.

While being able to charge faster, Lithium batteries looses its capacity to hold charges as it heats up more and more while charging, and most likely that batteries will heat up when charging quickly. And like what I have said, XZ doesn't always have to be plugged in to charger as it has amazing battery life

[deleted post]I don't have a problem flashing ROM's. Did it plenty back when I had my HTC One and Nexus 5. It's easy for me personally, and I am guessing it's easy for you as well. That's great, good for you. Now step outside your own point of view for a minute considered for a hot second that what is easy for you and I may not be easy for the masses.

I've never encountered anyone over the age of 40 who is flashing ROM's. I'm sure there are some that do, I have met exactly zero. Your 70 year old grandfather may be great at doing Google searches. Flashing ROM's is not the same thing as doing a Google search. Depending on the device it can be a difficult process.

And while Sony's process may be dead simple to you and I, I seriously doubt most 70 year old's would be game to try it. I'd ask them to chime in and give an opinion here but I doubt many read the comments section of GSM Arena.
