I'm with the "screen's too big for a phone" crowd. Simply because I want my phone to go *everywhere* with me, and that means fitting in my jackets, pants etc. without any trouble.

If I were after a small tablet for media and web browsing, I would consider this, Streak and Galaxy Tab.

I said to my self my new phone next year will be a giant screen phone. and now comes this!

If the final look will be like those photos. Then I'm buying this no doubt. I don't care about the size. I am a big guy anyway.

The problem is, once you Super-AMOLED you cannot go back. This ACER phone will surely be LCD and I don't know if my eyes can still look at such dull TFT of S-LCD screens.

Acer make better and better phones,i do belive that android helps them alot.Big?well some people want something in the middle of a tab and a phone and this would be the perfect compromise!(i played with galaxy tab, very atractive yet useless when i have my n1,as funtions same thing just a bigger screen). I think it will be a succes if the price goes nice on it.

4.3 is as far as i will go i think coz any bigger and u will need a bag and it will be called a computer. Nice but a bit big just like the streak.
Dnt get me wrong browsin would be nice but not worth gettin this just for browsin. I have galaxy s and 4" is cool thats y i would easily goto 4.3"

Wow! how much bigger are these phones going to get? Are they taking it back to the 80's or 90's? Do I need to bring out the old Nokia Communicator? All I have to say is have a bluetooth or you will stick out like a sore thumb and not and a good way.

                          (960*640)-(1024*480)=122880
still less than retina display, why so big? why such a large aspect ratio (2.13)?

Very very nice. To those that critique the screen size. Actually, it is perfect for eBooks, web surfing, watching videos and typing messages. How do I know? I have spent 3 months evaluating the Dell Streak, which slides into your pocket nicely.

When this Acer baby comes out and people play with it, they will want it so much.

(I ended up getting an iPad as at the time there was now promised date for Froyo on the Streak.)

Make a Mini model of this Acer.
3 point 7 inch screen and the same specs and screen resolution.
                                That would be a winner.

                                  P.S. 3.5-3.7'' is ideal, 4'' maximum for a phone

LG Gw990 straight from the coffin!

Check the specs, for LG to reproduce that, just put dual core tegra, 8 mp camera, 1080p (of course), android 2.2 + further versions, 1850 mAh battery and all the connectivities.

4.8 inch is the deal, 7 inch for tabs too bulky, 4.1 is top limit for smartphones.
