its really annoying that defy gets the 2.2 and not the xt720,well motorola has done it again but i really hope that they change their mind and get the 2.2 for xt720 too

i bought the xt720 for 600$ in the midle east and after using it i discoverd the huge need to move app to sd card otherwise the phone is useless and the money i paid served me to buy a brick,i dnt uderstand y motorola always makes phones uncomplited like we all know the v3 was a huge success but after that milions of people bought it they realised that the phone was quikly low on memory due to absence of sd card,so moto did the v3i whit memory card,and everybody had to throw away their v3 and repay for a new one,and its hapening again with the xt720,so i decided to upgrade my phone by myself to 2.2.1 froyo using dexter upgrade that i simpely found on google,and its working perfectly,just one word to motorola:im disapointed

lol moto dext and backflip in europe and asia/australia will stay on 1.5, so fail for their customers and to moto.
never buy moto phones outside of usa as they won't put effort into upgrading due to shite sales outside of america.

Anonymous, 25 Dec 2010root your phone and get apps2sd2.2 is must with XT720 as the application are by default getting installed in phone storage, which isnt gud,as the phone memory is only arounf 140MB.. Please help if all the application can be moved or directly istalled in SD card.

Yay Singapore! I'm still hoping against hope that milestone xt will get upgraded anyway. or the milestone patch will work on our phones through some way. cos the motorola service centre staff i talked to at the cathay said 'definitely' it's coming, next year.

In fact I already receive updates from applications I have installed on my htc mozart and didn't have it for more than 1 month. The next WP7 OS update is coming in Jan Feb.

Andriod will not go far if it continues the way it does. they should learn from apple. one device, one operating system, instead of distributing to all other phone manufacturer. At first there was only google nexus and i thought it will be something like apple phone, one device one OS, updates and upgrade one shot. Suddenly all different phone manufacturer starts having it. Some of the manufactures did not do a good job on the upgrades and worst some don't even bother. they just keep coming out with new devices without the neccessary back end support for the devices.....Sigh....what a misfortune

At least let the user install through external memory card thats a minimum requirement. it is pointless even if the external memory supports up to 32gb
