There's a night and day difference between the N6 and the OP3. Where the N6 would run upwards of 115° just browsing the web my OP3 rarely cracks 100°. Now the 810 in the G Flex 2 is another story.

It could also have some hardware features. Isn't there a public data sheet or anything for it?

Anonymous, 07 Oct 2016So it is smart to buy the cheaper SD820 flagships ?Yes of course is that even a legit question? If you want to save some more money wait for more 821 phones to flood the market.

Anonymous, 07 Oct 2016So it is smart to buy the cheaper SD820 flagships ?Yes, SD820 is still a great CPU. Haven't experienced any overheating in 4 months that I'm using it - even while charging and playing demanding games (Riptide GP: Renegade, Real Racing 3...). It's a powerhouse.

Not surprised, they're all MSM8996 chipsets clocked at 2.15 and 1.6 GHz. Honestly I don't know why they're even calling it an 821.

The 820 gets warm all the time, even when performing mundane, but sustained tasks over extended periods of time?

Well, my OnePlus 3 has a SD820. And you know what? It BARELY gets warm! Compared to the SD810 my previous Nexus 6P had, it's a big improvement. Compared to the SD805 my mom's Nexus 6 has, it's a HUGE improvement...

AnonD-562549, 07 Oct 2016Also, there's no improvement on 821 apart from overclockingThere is some improvemenrs obviously. It has long press and ultrasonic fingerprint sensor features on sd821 aswel.
