Nokia E7 might be delayed until January 2011, costs 700 euro?

24 November, 2010
Two weeks ago Nokia has reported the QWERTY slider E7 will launch in December. But a popular online retailer lists the E7 for January 2011 availability on a quite hefty price. Despite Nokia's Twitter...

If the Nokia E7 costs 700 Euros (after taxes) in Eurpoe, the phone may cost a whopping S$1209 (after 7% GST) in Singapore.

Not many people in Singapore are going to buy such an expensive smartphone which has no memory card slot and locked to 16GB of internal memory.

Since OSX was derived from UNIX, and Linux was also derived from UNIX. Since Apple Mac users use an OS based on those two they should be very familiar! What? they don't? how can that possibly be?! My head is gonna explode!? DOES NOT COMPUTE. HAHA you're real smart.

Sails, 29 Nov 2010Yes of course it would be a miracle if someone could write ... moreLOL like once again, your comprehension of the English written language fails you once again. Java may have derived from C and C++ however one doesn't need to know C/C++ language to know java. I know java from college courses yet i don't know C++ because it was never a required course for my major. Yet you fail to comprehend this, I even gave examples of situations, but its okay I understand you can't possibly fathom the concept. For someone who knows quite a bit of coding language how come you haven't coded anything for your precious Ovi store, or android, or iOS for that matter? Yet you were quick to announce one being better than the other. Like I said, forget it. You're too oblivious to any facts even if they were in your face. Just wait and see what the marketshare will be in Q1 of 2011. No need to even wait a whole year and we'll see if your Qt is superior or not. :)

(Don't know much about C and Java either or you would know Java derives its syntax from C and C++)

Yet I know for fact you don't have any experience. Also to say that one is better than the other is purely subjective. They don't even using the same coding language as android's SDK relies on java, where as Qt is C++. Any developer who's experience in java but not in C++ can say that android SDK is much easier to code for and C++ is not user friendly, the vice versa is also the same. However; from what i can tell so far, you have not used android SDK or iOS SDK and purely just jumped to conclusion because Qt is used for Nokia and its "multi platform" for S^3 and Meego does not equate to a superior sdk. Personally, I feel I already know the outcome with Nokia's trend the past 3 years its not hard to predict. Like I stated in one of my previous post, Nokia is better off restructuring their strategy and focusing on mid range, to entry level devices much like how AMD restructured their target market.

So lets just wait to see one year from now what market share Nokia has and hows the OVI map doing then. That in itself will be more than any articles we can throw at each other. Vince obviously believes that the reason why Nokia lost market share was due to the fact that the market isn't saturated with S^3 devices yet, so lets wait and see when the market does become saturated with S^3 devices and see the results. :)

Like I said, i never made such claims that any SDK is better than the other, not even android, even though I don't consider myself an android fanboy, there are plenty of things I see wrong with android. Also if you want to see something innovative, look up android augmented reality for the blind. Its a project in which they're using augmented reality to help blind people navigate. Will it work? Most likely not, is the idea innovative? definitely yes.

Also iOS and android may not have an augmented reality magazine app, they do have augmented reality games maybe you should look into that then? Such as Locatory? It's pretty much the same concept as your augmented magazine? Whats so innovative about putting speech bubbles on pictures of human faces?

So an interactive magazine is what you call innovative? ipad is getting their own newspaper, which is most likely will be interactive too. Does that make it innovative too? Youtube has had "interactive" videos for quite a while now.

[deleted post]ROFL once again another fanboy that has english comprehension problems. I never said N8 couldn't output video at 720p. In fact i corrected another fanboy on it, he says N8 was capable of recording at 1080p, in which I corrected him that its only capable of recording at 720p@25fps. Seriously you fanboys are so blinded you don't even bother to actually read comments. Good for you that you dug up an official statement.

So once again care to put some statements on your quote that Qt is the best developers kit? Was this said in a tweet or a post or a press conference by developers? It's funny how in your post you make it sound like you have factual evidence. For nokia claiming that they have 400,000 developers on board they sure don't have any innovating new apps. Just rehashes much like their product line. WhatApps? LOL that sounds like palringo or fring or Qtorch? So their most popular downloaded app was a flashlight app?

It's probably like I guessed it, Nokia considers anyone who can write a couple lines to have the device turn on the LED flash as a developer. LOL I did that on android, does that make me a developer too?

So lets recap, nokia fanboys are: oblivious to truth, they rush and don't bother reading comments, they're the epitome of hypocrisy(by the way there are tons of press release regarding to Nokia 5800 sales figures, google them yourself, so much for nokia not disclosing specific mobile device sales right?), some of nokia fanboys even like to pretend they're two different people and comment themselves.

You disputed my comment when i mentioned Nokia tweeted about the 5800 sales figures yet you referred to Nokia's tweet about supposedly having 400,000 developers? LOL hypocrisy at it's finest. I'm pretty sure Nokia is also telling you that they're not losing profits and that everything is fine and dandy over at their company too and I'm pretty sure you believe it with unwavering faith. I guess Nokia considers anyone who writes a flashlight app a developer. Nokia sure has a lot of developers considering Apple has only about 13,000 and android only has 11,000 this was figures from February 2010 by the way. Wow with all that support from the developing department how is it that they're failing to recapture market share?

Adjust or die Nokia! don't be so egotistical. Plus you won't have to worry for the software and concentrate on what you are good at (hardware).
