Remember when the Note7 miserably failed the scratch test? Turns out it was inconclusive

10 October 2016
Just under two months ago, YouTuber JerryRigEverything released a video for the Galaxy Note7 regarding the durability of its glass. If you recall, the Gorilla Glass 5 scratched starting with the level 3 pick of Mohs hardness scale. This even provoked Corning to reassure that Gorilla Glass 5 is the same, if not more scratch resistant than Gorilla Glass 4 as per the company’s own laboratory testing.

Still at the end of the video, he shows his personal note 7 still having a lot of scratches with regular use. But scratches are the least of your concerns when you own this rushed product by samsung.

AnonD-296347, 11 Oct 2016how much samsung paid him? He's never been paid to do anything on YouTube. He bought all the phones with his own money but one was sponsored and that was the super umi

        Woohoo.
Spigen 'exposed front' cases here I come.

Presently using a wallet (foldaround) case AND a screen protector.
For a week or so before I returned the last phone I tried it naked. Not a mark. Nice phone.
Perhaps too svelte for present production methods.... (is phone flexibility causing *boom*; most likley!)

A Spigen two piece frame with the raised lip around the edges for protecting the front of the phone (when resting on surfaces), seems the perfect accesory. Might even toss the screen protector that I mucked up applying on the replacement Note 7...

Does it matter when your Note 7 is on fire?

"As for the iPhone 7 scratch test though, the one where the camera lens and home button scratched easily? Yeah, those are still valid."

For now, he can redo the other too, but like he explain he pays for every phone the test.

so my screen wont scratch, that will be reassuring to look at as the rest goes up in smoke.

I've been using the GN7 for about 7 weeks with any cover or case and don't have any scratches at all.

LOL! That time that particular issue was a deal breaker, at least for some, but now what's happening with Note 7 no one actually cares about scratches, but they just wanna be alive I suppose.
