Nokia!!! Is still Nokia. Once I have been a really Nokia fanatic until I fed up. Nokia won't listen to what their fan or the market want. They still very ego and think they are invensible in the cell phone industry. All the Nokia fan and the market is begging Nokia to use Android or may be IOS (I know it won't be happen or else Apple I phone will be "bungkus") in their system, but Nokia don't want to listen. They still want to use that stone age OS @ Symbian. The resolution of the Nokia display also very low compare to their competitors. The old trend of Nokia is coming again. Last time where they are still using 128 x 128 resolution, where their competitors have using 170 x 220 instead.

Another Symbian OS?? I really hate Symbian OS. Since the first time I buy my Nokia 6230i ( not Symbian but S40 ). The Nokia Shop promoter is forcing me to buy Nokia 7610 or Nokia 3230 instead of buying Nokia 6230i. I know the 2 other phone are smartphone but I'm not interested to buy them because it's Bulky compare to Nokia 6230i and its use a crapy Symbian OS!!!! The promoter is calling me stupid for not buying the crappy Symbian OS phone. I say to her it's my choice to buy which phone that I like. If she don't want the customer to buy Nokia 6230i why she's displaying the phone at the counter.I still remember that day until now. From that day I never use a Symbian Phone, although I like Nokia N82, Nokia E72 and Nokia N8 very much. When I heard that Nokia I still use that crappy OS, so I have to forget all that phone. Now I'm really enjoying using my Android phone very much. It's better than Symbian all around.

I don't get it, again Nokia is using the same hardware and software for its entire lineup, I wonder which the real differentiator is! The camera and HDMI port perhaps??? They got the same processor, same RAM, same screen resolution, same Symbian3… we had that with N97, 5800, 5530, X6, C6-00 sharing the same specs. Now it’s the turn for N8, E7, X7, C7 and C6-01

Why people should buy a more expensive N8 if you can almost get the same all-around with a cheaper C6-01, which btw has better display due to Clear Black and higher PPI… of course, if you really care about the camera there’s no discussion.

Is it Nokia’s response to avoid the so-called fragmentation?

Anonymous, 28 Nov 2010Nokia have been making some odd decisions recently. The num... morefaster chipset is not gonna happen with Symbian. Symbian has compatibility problems, thats the only reason why "high end" units as N8 and E7 have Arm11 processors. Its processors noone want but Nokia has no choice, Cortex or snapdragon will cause software issues that Nokia cannot afford to fix.

Tabloid Pulsa, 27 Nov 2010Wow 4 speakers, likes China phone two years ago. Very loud ... morePretty much everything is bad with Nokia these days but saying they have bad speakers in their phones is NOT true. Samsung is the one to always have bad speakers, especially Galaxy S is a big disappointment (expensive phone and so bad sound). HTC not great speakers also but acceptable. Nokia has long tradition of good speakers, too bad almost everything else is bad on nokia...

Nokia have been making some odd decisions recently. The numbering seems to suggest that a 9-series phone will appear in the future, but perhaps they are experimenting with different features while Symbian 3 matures?

As for the Processor thing. The N95 had it's own limitations (re: RAM) before they introduced the 8gb version.

I'd like to see them release a high end handset with a 8mp Carl zeis lens with xenon flash, along with a faster chipset. There's no shame in having a 8mp camera on a phone if done right.

MiG, 27 Nov 2010well, I am not sure about having a Nokia touch again, my N9... moreN97 was the start of a downwards spiral for Nokia, everything was wrong with the N97 and nokia didnt try to get out of that track. Even today they follow that line with N8 an E7 and now X7. Symbian^3 is not a significant improvement, and capacitive screen is not a big improvement when symbian still forces the 640x360 limitation.

I dont know what wil become of Nokia, they are forced to lower prices to stay attractive, and even then it doesnt feel like its worth it. The pressure of keeping low price is aleady showing, fixed focus cameras seem to be one of the consequences. Unlike before, when Nokia could make the 5800 a success through low price and full package with carl zeiss lenses and autofocus cam. 5800 was launched at a time when the symbian limitation of 640x360 was still acceptable, today its totally unacceptable.

X7 is the new 5800, with capacitive screen and improved speakers. The price you pay is fixed focus and even more outdated OS. Want it? Sure, 2 years ago this would be nice, but it doesnt belong in 2011.

Anonymous, 27 Nov 2010It actually has only 210 ppi. A human with 20/20 vision is ... moreWe should be talking about normal viewing though. Not the absolute 20/20 eyes, black on white, display in your face, strain your eyes to max limits.

The actual noticed gain on image quality starts to drop rapidly beyond 200 ppi, but increases pretty linearly the strain on CPU and GPU. The effect is even greater for the battery.
