They have 38,000 patents from being one of the first smartphone producers on the block. Thats why my most ios/android manufacturers don't produce phones good at performing a phones primary functions. Email, calls, messaging, universal Inboxes, shortcuts etc.

I had one oneplus and it was sooo bad... yes they all come from the same area but its like buying a Huffy bike or a GT. There is significant differences. Stay away from knockoffs is my recomendation. BlackBerry is a sure thing.

Love this phone. The looks and specs. Great price too. Who would have thought. Please dont reply to get a knockoff for less. Had a OnePlus3 it was pure junk. You get what you pay. When is this coming out?

Are you the CEO of a big corporate and you want to control the emails, phones and especially the address book of your employees (you want your IT department to erase all phone/emai/txt/contacts content when you'll fire someone)? If not, you have no reason to pay $150 in "BB security improvements"!
Just buy an ZTE Axon 7 or symilar.

Interesting thing is that there is a significant reduction in the number of people bashing the Blackberry here - if you look at the comments section for articles on Priv to DTEK50 to now DTEK60.

This is a great deal.
It has the exact same specs as the new Google Pixel, except the DTEK60 has a better camera and costs $100 less than the Google phone. And, you get BlackBerry software and security as well.
This is a steal!!!
Also, it probably doesn't catch on fire like a Samsung.
Also, it has a headphone jack unlike iphones.

bonga, 12 Oct 2016Just because it was deprecated it does not mean that it is ... moreThere are plenty of CVEs that still apply to Qt 4,x that haven't been patched in the main line branch, much less in a fork on an OS that hasn't received a single update in over a year and a half. Maybe 10.3.3 fixes all of this, but it's highly doubtful and even if it does, it will be the last 10,x update as Blackberry is rightfully dedicating all of its resources towards keeping Android up to date in a Nexus like manner.
BB10 is dead. Blackberry has made itself one of the best Android manufacturers however and this DTEK60 will be an awesome alternative to the Pixel for those looking for a powerful Nexus successor that will receive Nexus-like updates.
