5.7" should be the limit, anything above that has a really small audience practically......
An lcd variant is welcome as long as it is quad hd with a contrast ratio matching lg g5 and iphone 7.

short of Amoled? The panel is made by a Chinese maker which has only few customer so far. The real reason is that OPPO's factory is too busy in producing its hitting models to assign resources to Oneplus. OPPO's profit margin is even much higher than Huawei's in domestic market in China.

Damn no! Please one plus don't do it. Just launch one phone per year and meet the supply demand. Don't start what sony started by introducing 2 flagships a year then ended up messing the whole business.

If they put in an IPS LCD instead of the amazing AMOLED screen this phone will be a no-go option for a lot of ppl including me! There's just no returning to LCD once you've tried Amoled.

Any handset that is released will have at least 3 could-be-better issues, they know what people want, they have ploughed enough into marketing to find this out but they wont use that information to create the perfect phone just to know what not to create.

ive said this before, wouldnt the hiatus be longer with making essentially a new phone vs just waiting on amoled panels ill also have to agree with some other comments just use an expensive NEO ips or IGZO type LCD, no more amoled and its shorter life span, janky colors and albeit small chance but burn in issues and who need deep blacks anyways when majority of content uses more whites/cream especially text

Unless showing 0,0,0 most of today's LCD panels compare very favorably with AMOLED. I have even seen some evidence that LCDs show white more efficiently then AMOLED. You view more white than you do black when looking at a screen so it makes sense that white efficiency is more important.
