It must be renamed to Galaxy 'c4'. Even if it explodes(yet again), the owners have been warned beforehand :D
Kidding aside, it's hard to make a new name for something with a distinguished S-Pen feature. If they did, it will drag the 'spiritual successor to Note7' label in it and this will beat the purpose of people forgetting the Note7 issue.
If push comes to shove (e.g. by public demand via surveys), it should be inserted as a variant of the s7 edge: Same 5.7" + S-Pen. With this, there's no need to struggle establishing a new name. It will blend smoothly along the Galaxy S lineup and lessen the impact of the Note7's fallen legacy.

If this is true then its a sheer stupidity by Samsung. Just one phone out of SIX Note phones messed up doesn't mean the entire Note exclusiveness has to be cancelled! Ridiculous decision if true.

Just take some time a... moreTotally disagree .... this looks like LG Stylus which are obviously pathetic phones because they are from LG.
They should go something like Galaxy S8 Prime or Galaxy Prime 8. The line would be complete - S8, S8 edge and S8 Prime/ Galaxy Prime 8. They already are using the "Prime" on their other line ups .. like galaxy grand prime, J7 prime ... so it makes sense to use "Prime" instead of copying other brands - Pro from apple, Premium from Sony or Stylus from LG.

A weird decision. Obviously right now the image seems destroyed. But instead of ditching whole legacy to find a safe way out, they should be focusing towards clearing up Note's repo.
Btw what if the newly named series also face something horrible? The whole Samsung brand will be black-labeled then, its much better to keep risking not in return of a better long-term repo.

I agree with the name Galaxy Stylus.
Just take some time and use this break to re-think the whole concept. Then, come out with something new that really impresses us. Pressure sensitive screen, new stylus operations, total re-design of the looks - getting rid of the polished glossy fingerprint surfaces, possibly re-think or abandon the edge concept which has been sort of useless so far.

IF they abandon note series which I hope not, I have note 4 was waiting to purchase note 7.. there will be s8 and s8 edge with note features e.g S pen,5'5-5.7" screen,UI etc..

I love the Note series created by Samsung specially their latest Note 7 is astonishingly beautiful not inluding the explosion part. They can re introduce this again to the market later on after fixing build etc.. Note 7 is one of the best phone ive seen in the year 2016 (screen, camera, performance)
