I am surprised that the Asus Zenffone 3 is not mentioned in this article, as it has better specs and LTE band coverage than the Axon phone mentioned. Asus is known for their build quality as well. Out of all non-Samsung phones that is probably the value choice. The Pixel is a great choice but I honestly think the premium price puts it out of reach for most except the true believers. Besides that, phone prices should be trending downwards not up imho.

You guys still don't know that Note line has a special layer under the display to work with the Wacom S-Pen without battery, which is patented Samsung technology.
That's why no other OEM can make it 5 years till today.
No software update on GS7Edge can help.
BTW the biggest win of Note is that S-Pen is embedded into the device.
Just go and play with your iPhones and don't give stupid advises on the tech sites, please!

I still wait for Note, I have S5 and I could hang on to that until a new Samsung fix up Note with safer version if not better than Note 7.

Oh for god's sake my SGS5 only has 2GB RAM, so? It runs android just fine. Is still quick for everyday tasks, and its GPU is far better then any mid-range device in 2016. I've seen them as low as 250 euro which is an absolute bargain. With removable battery, ir-blaster, expandable storage etc... Hell, I'm appreciating my S5 every day. The best and most featured complete S-phone ever.

In my own case I disabled samsung's music app and my problems were gone (S5). I noticed that this app also seem to send a lot over the internet for no apparent reason. I use jetaudio as alternative and never looked back.

Display also needs to support S-Pen. I tried to use the S-Pen from my old Note 3 on my A5 (2016) and it does not detect it.

Create a nice flip-case to hold the S7 edge with the pen and sell this as a bundle. The S-Pen apps could be delivered through Samsung's store or through Google play. I fail to see why the S-Pen software couldn't run on other devices. In fact my S5 has an com.samsung.spent.sdk which let me believe that the S-series is compatible with the pen as well.

Though I'm also Happy with My Note 7 as nothing problem at still 80% Charge (but if fully 100% charge will manage I'll be more happy) and also unhappy that still didn't get any software update for Android 7.0 or something else. Samsung should do something for us who are happy with Note 7 as we Love Samsung and we believe that no other company except only Samsung can come out and take right initiatives in this bad situation in the whole world.
