Got an S7. Only flaws, 'Mediaserver' makes phone hot and drains battery 20% in 30-40 mins and causes phone to slow to a halt.

Since I ruined the screen on my S6 edge + I wanted a note 7. But since it never came to the market in my country I have now chosen the Samsung Galaxy S7edge and I haven't regrettet it. It's a fantastic phone.

Ithink those who refuse to surrendered there note 7 are relly techie. They know that there device is normal and good. Tested for for almost 3 weeks so they are confident. After all air travel are those banned the device and they are not affected on that. For them their is no alternative for note 7.

AnonD-580265, 16 Oct 2016who do you try to fool peter?
only note 5 can replace note 7Note 5 has s-pen and thats about it (as motivators); true if that feature is the 'drive' to get a Note 7 (for many people it is...) then Note 5 is the only alternative in market (new) presently.
Most other phones will serve better.... (if not needing the s-pen)
Note 5 is so far from being a Note 7, I figured if I am going without all its' features might as well get a 'tiny' phone... but nobody makes them at a flagship level!
Having used the Note 7 for many weeks -very hard to 'go back' (it was ahead of the industry for many things); so everthing will be a compromise- which anyone settles for is up to them: 'their opinion'.
I wouldn't be so silly to recommend a phone withoutvfirst checking a users needs' (eg if they wanted sd card support and s-pen-Note 5 is only half way there/as are most of the other phones on the list; many of which are not waterproof)
Perhaps we should list our top three reasons for the phone we selected;
Eg i chose iPhone for the OS features that allow stuff like 'airdrop', the colour accuracy and the sound quality. Mostly cause it was relatively small.
Missing s-pen direct to screen write when pulling out pen and that gorgeous new gen Oled screen the Note 7 has..,ahem, had.
I wouldn't recommend anyone an OS change without checking their needs and expectations on a phone.
First 24hours with OS 10 on an iPhone and I HATED it.
Then an elderly couple travelling from Scotland walking around the oldest golf course in the southern hemisphere in Tasmania, Australia, air dropped photos with me. And everyone at the wedding had iPhones- lots of benefits being in the same camp.
Sammy does stuff like this with audio output spread across a few phones ...
We commit to 'ecosystems'.
I was fortunate in that for the last decade or so when enetering phone contacts I would 'code them' with a few letters before entering their names on my phone, eg people I meet through business one would have the initials'SD' before their christian name. Different codes for different parts of the country; all sorts of useful identifiers; heck if I had cared about call costs I could ask people which phone carrier they use and 'code that in as well' eg Telstra or T-mobile would be "T"
So Jane from work might be "W T Jane, Smith"
Migrating to iOS my contact database has been destroyed (I nearly walked back into the shop to return the phone), but then realised my 'codes' made it workable... (on android I could select catagory 'work' and all my workmates would make up a short list on the screen).
Do I feel as professional in an iOS environment? Not yet!
Took me a few weeks adjusting to samsung android vs stock. A few weeks to jump to winphone, and like any change, I expect a few teething issues and 'a few weeks to learn and adjust'.
Already a tonne of things I thought I couldn't do in my new OS I have learned and it hasn't been two days of usage yet.
Noticable lacking was the Microsoft phones from that list.
Anyhow iPhone 7 (not plus) is a contender. As is a Note 4 second hand until next gen hits!

Imperator Neubaticus, 16 Oct 2016The v20 has a mediocre battery life. Not acknowledging that... moreNote 7's battery has only 300mA more capacity compared to LG V20, so everyone should stop whining about V20's battery.
LG V20 is the only one phone in the world that still has removable battery. And since it has removable back cover, only V20 has the ability to take bigger, higher capacity extended batteries.
Also, till now, G5 is the best cameraphone. We should wait for the V20's and Pixel's review to comment about them.
