Couple that inside a pressurised metal cabin and you could have a very serious problem to contend with 30,000 feet up in the air. Not to sound cliché but it is better to be safe than sorry

Should business premises banned this phone too? Any Note7 users not allowed to eat at restaurant. Not allowed to enter public toilet. Not allowed to go shopping in a mall. Not allowed to go near a hospital. Not allowed to many many things. Basically, Note7 users not allowed to be on Earth. When banning have no limits. *sigh

AnonD-597058, 16 Oct 2016Yeah, a 17 billion dollar loss is not a scratch on Samsung.... moreInfographic by TufiTech

This article describes how big is Samsung
And even if it was a problem, Samsung has such strong presence in the market and incredible advertising that they can recover from a 17$ billion loss as soon as next uear, something few companies can do.

I am no Samsung fanboy( i am in fact trying to stay away from their mid-rangers cz they lack strong hardware and the new ones(j7 prime,A5(2016)... are just too expensive in my country) but i don't like people taking advantage of the Note 7 catastrophe to bash previous Samsung products and Samsung as a whole.

Anonymous, 16 Oct 2016You got a link for this ? This should be news worthy to be fairI think i was a bit wrong on the numbers, but their were still fake situations, or should i say "frauds":

Anyway, i am not saying you should not return your Note 7, as it can cause harm to your surrounding and you.

Cant believe half of the rubbish written here....Samsung's only mistake here was trusting the battery manufacturers...even then there were only a small percentage of handsets that caught fire and i am still not convinced that all of these fires were of the phones fault....Again Samsung behaved responsibly in trying to eliminate the issues .....In the last week we have seen over 7 examples of iphone 7 customers handsets catching fire and what was the response from news agencies...nothing.......so there does seem to be a rule for 1 and a different set of rules for another.
Just picked up my Samsung S7 edge , a brilliant handset that works with my vr headset'
One other point is that there seems to be a pattern of handsets catching fire only in the usa .....not really sure why , maybe the phone was too clever for the general american......i dont want to tar all americans with the same brush.....but as we say over here .....there are a lot of donald trump supporters in the usa and we all know their general understanding is limited

By the way, they are much more present in mid-range and low-end phone+ this is all brand reputation damage, wich i am sure Samsung will fix with their strong advertising.
