WOW. Is it just me ordoes 3 billion loss actually sound very little loss for a Company of Samsungs caliber. I mean think about it. Returning millions of phones. Giving away hundreds of millions to the note 7 owners in the exchange program. Stopping productions. Losing lots of possible future customers. Having lots of useless spare parts... Even their stock diving should do a 3 billion damage alone. SO DO THEY REALY HAVE THAT LOYAL CUSTOMERS OR ARE THEY UNDERESTIMATING THE DAMAGES??!!

Maybe Samsung competitor sabotage samsung product so people can buy theirs. Bring them back to Korea and manufacture with a quality product

Oh dear me isn't it funny all this fiasco, Samsung are going to have the mickey taken out of them for the next 10 years, at least by me anyway, I just love it. Samsung are truly gone as a trustworthy phone company although to be honest they weren't that trustworthy in the first place. Sony and Qualcomm rock!!

Note7 owner, 15 Oct 2016A lot of folks here are taking this matter too lightly, per... moreYour no note 7 owner, people want to be concerned how Samsungs source code got into the hands of another phone company, allowing them to cause all the cores to run at full power all at once, Then buying a few boxes of them,doctoring them,turning them off, then plugging them on charge in prominent places, turning them on, with cores set to ignite the phones, knowing that the fire will hide the real cause. This scam could only be gotten away with by there being sealed batteries, the perpetrator would not have dared this in case someone pulled the battery, and the phone could not burn up the real cause but be examined by Samsung. Hey, some one could have dragged in judge Lucy kho, to make sure who ever planned it got off scott free.

It MAY have placed your family in danger - big difference. There may be no evidence that your PARTICULAR instance of the phone has any flaw with the battery. If you want 2x the price then there's legal means and court systems to address that issue.

I don't get why so many people are complaining about the note 7 being discontinued, there are other options with the note 7's best feature and they do it better e.g. TNT, c4, etc. They blow up and they have a larger impact radius

Sonys is more lightweight but if your talking about less bloat ware then either stock, moto or Htc is for you

A lot of folks here are taking this matter too lightly, perhaps they don't have any love ones in their lives. When you do you will understand the level of failure Samsung has achieved with the Note7. :) Samsung's incompetence will show it's rear again and I honestly hope no one gets hurt. It's like playing Russian roulette with Samsung products nowadays. Good luck to the S supporters.
