Google Pixel XL review roundup

18 October 2016
You may have noticed, there is a bunch of Google Pixel phone reviews flying in every direction. If you have been wondering why every tech website out there has one today, the reason is that Google’s review embargo has officially been lifted and we’re all allowed to have our say about Google’s latest smartphones. Except, we personally don’t have that much to say yet, as our review units were stranded somewhere along their way to us.

Design wise Pixel doesn't have the wow factor. Soon we'll see comparisons with other phones, which will show how plain and uninspiring Pixel is. Is it worth the same price as iPhone? I don't think so. Software features alone don't make Pixel special. Very soon those same features will be available on other devices.

That Gizmodo reviewer is an obvious iT@rd and doesn't know what he is talking about.

Why Google doesn't use Samsung again, or maybe Sony? That doesn't mean HTC is bad

another iPhonish look, this is the reason why Apple is too arrogant in getting patent-rights and too hard to take out from the top brands, other brands can't seem to get off Apple's bezels

boring bunch of ignorant biased amateurs , barely manged to read half of that crap .

I will wait for proper review here .

Samsung fanboys are filled to the rim with hate and envy these past few months. Their thinking may be a bit cloudy but if you look at their claims. It's quite possible for Google to push updates to their Android phones without Shamsung knowing. Even till this day Samesung doesn't know why their Note 7s are flaming hot.

Speaking of Pixel phones - that's a dead project that will able to gain little only in US. Too pricey, too sizey, with limited to no availability around the world.

Too much attention to local US marketing-oriented sites that are not popular outside US, like Verge, Engadget, Gizmodo, AndroidCommunity. Why not to listen some geek-oriented sites from around the world.

[deleted post]Didn't know at this point, blind samsung fanboys are still trying to find excuses to defend note7's explosion.. as for google pixel, priced at a very unattractive price point for a limited device.. nexus pricing would have made pixel a guaranteed success but now...

Read them all, but didn't feel at home like I do here, so I will wait. The camera samples on Android Police were excellent though, not sure about the best camera statement, definitely have seen better low light samples but overall very very good I think.
