It makes me angry when people trash nokia. Android and iOS will give you a great touchscreen experience (even on the lower end android devices). But nokia deliver where it matters. Symbian might not be flowery but it certainly gets the job done. And as far as low processor and low RAM and low res is concerned, Symbian utilises hardware better than both android and the iOS. I have an N8, a Galaxy Spica(android), and iphone 3GS. I like the spica the best(mostly becus of the custom ROMs). But if u start using all three phones one by one as ur primary phone, the N8 does not fall behind. Its got a decent multimedia system...the best camera and better telephony than the iphone. Every phone has its upsides and downsides. Depends on how you use them and for what purposes. Meego really will open the market for nokia. But i still say that as far as touchscreens are concerned, android looks like it will lead the market.
PS im not a fanboy, don't hate, appreciate!

When Symbian 3 gets the kind of support that Android and iOS is getting then come and tell us how great it is.

AS of today, it's a tired rehash of an already dated OS.

Devs will be waiting for Meego, and Symbian will be shunned because it is a lite OS. Sure it works alright on the N8, but when devs start releasing more resource hungry games and apps, the N8 will struggle.

Symbians days as a popular OS used by the likes of SE and Samsung are over. Meego will struggle against WM7 and Android.

In 3 years the Rank will be like this:

                        1) MeeGo

                        2) Android

distributor, 04 Dec 2010sorry that we talk about other topic . dude SYMBIAN sup... moreThe only relevant point you made was that symbian supports 360x640 reso screen. BTW, it's not low res as you will find myriad android fones with lower resolution, so it doesnt matter.

Plus, N8 has way more features than many fones, but you wont talk about that, because you know you will fail the moment the entire feature list is out, so you just focus on the three limitations of symbian(out of which only one is correct).

Plus, there's a concept known as "Product Differentiation". Nokia is just trying to split the market with meego and hence it wont allow symbian to support higher res.(and many other features) just to differentiate the two. That's a strategy.

In other words, you cant speak on anything else other than screen reso, battery life and a few more things which everyone is aware of....you are a noob and even you said it...you just said it in different words.

Do we really need cameras on tablets? LOL. Well I guess if the tablet has nothing better to offer as a tablet, it needs to have other features that might make it do other things not practically suited for its purpose just so to have something better than the others :-)
