AnonD-428442, 24 Oct 2016Who's taking about iPhone? Fact is already provided by Sam... morelol they downgraded to s7e against their own wikl because there's no other choice, do we have any other smartphones that have an spen and specs close to note7? none.

where are my facts? i'm an admin of our note7 group and yes. even if we're just 4k strong. most of us use the spen and hated the downgrade. some stick with their previous notes while others are forced to use s7e replacement. realworld, real users.

not because samsung advised that most replacement opted for s7e does it mean that users dont use the spen. they simply dont have a choice. note5 is not offered as replacement in most countries as well. lol.

have you ever used an spen for productivity before?

and lastly. s7e is just an interim phone while waiting for the next note series.

and LOL on the status symbol, if you want status. you buy an apple, we buy samsung for functionality.

TD, 21 Oct 2016The fact is, there was no option for a stylus, other than g... moreYou = anecdotal info.
If people actually use the S pen, all those Note 7 buyers will go for the Note 5 for replacement. Simple logic that is somehow hoard to grasp by people.
Samsung, the phone maker themselves, already said that most people that bought the Note 7 opted for the S7 Edge for replacement instead of the Note 5. The S7 Edge does NOT have a stylus. If people use the stylus, why aren't they getting the Note 5? That's the fact, straight from Samsung.

I'm not saying the S pen is useless or anything. There will be people that want it, but that number is small. The Note line is selling because of status symbol (being the most expensive Samsung phone), not because of the S pen. Again, the proof is from Samsung, where most Note 7 users are opting for S7 Edge instead of the Note 5 for replacement. That is simple fact straight from Samsung.

Fact is already provided by Samsung. Did you live in a cave? Samsung already announced that most Note 7 users opted for the S7 Edge for replacement. This shows you that those people don't need the S pen since the S7 Edge does NOT have an S pen. This is straight from Samsung, the maker of the phone.

Now where is YOUR fact on people actually use the S pen?

Samsung themselves showed that majority of Note 7 users went for the S7 Edge for replacement. That's the fact, straight from Samsung. That by itself shows that majority of them don't use the S Pen. If the S pen is so important, they should be getting the Note 5, not the S7 Edge.

Off topic: I think Samsung seriously needs to consider bringing removable battery back on the S8. If the batteries do have an issue which I doubt that will happen, instead of replacing the phones they can just replace the batteries. You also get a chance to try and save the phone should you sense extensive overheating and quickly remove the battery

This is what the people want and they deserve it for spending all those hundreds of dollars on their flagships.
