fraud company, very poor customer support, I am using redmi 3S prime, the company selling this phone as Volte phone, but it dont support volte, customer support services try to manipulate people.

Anonymous, 20 Oct 2016By your logic, you should use android 2 with miui version 1... moreOf course I won't have any issues!
If Xiaomi is giving N features in F, G, I or whatever I don't have any issues
My sister has Redmi 3s and I love the UI, there is nothing that you would miss and say "I don't have this feature, please unpgrade to N", it is quite fluid & nicely developed and is as secure as any other android, so yes I would instead prefer MIUI8 with android 2 over stock Android N

Anonymous, 20 Oct 2016Yes xiaomi is equally bad. Miui is so buggy and outdated. ... moreThing is current MIUI has all the features of Android M and soon N. Doesn't matter if they update to latest android version or not. Features matter only.

Besides who wants Huawei's cartoonish UI anyways? You can't even install a rom on those closed source phones. Better buy iPhone than Huawei.

        i disregard Chinese products

Excellent performance from Xiaomi, well done. But generally speaking, almost all the Chinese companies deserve more attention and because they are all producing very good phones and with a very value for money products/phones

Yes I would agree redmi 1s is of good quality, but not recent model.

Redmi note 3 has bad quality and no android update.

AnonD-442781, 19 Oct 2016But the mi 5 cracks like a fortune cookie. In all fairness ... moreThat is true, but that is since the Mi5, The Mi Note/Pro doesn't bend easily. But then again you can't do this to Mi Note or any other phone either:
                                https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZZs3A0GlEY

And unlike deliberately trying to bend a phone, having your phone scratched is an everyday occurrence.

Yes, Mi phones are cheap but the after-sales support are horrendous. Pray hard to Lord Ganesha that your device isn't a faulty unit.

Xiaomi phones are better than any of other Indian brands like Micromax, Xolo,Lava etc.

Regarding after sales services, if one uses device with some understanding and sane mind, there is no need to take it to a service centre. I have 4 redmi1s in my family from past 2 years, but we never had slightest problem. We use it like a workhorse but absolutely no problem.

Few things about we Indians - we believe in value for money rather than liking it cheap.

But at times we try to squeeze out the most of what we pay and this is where we go wrong. We buy a mid ranger but expectations are of a flagship.most of current Xiaomi phones provide features of current trend- fingerprint sensor, dual camera, dual sim,FM radio (must for most of Indian),at least 5" screen, metal body, Otg,expandable memory (must) etc. All these at an attractive price tag is enough to make it a blockbuster in India. Only where it lacks is after sales, but it is not that one has to go to service centre frequently.
This is why Mi will always be one of leading brands in India.

First provide android M to redmi note 3,you can't just say hey we upgrade your phone to miui 8 ,thats good enough ,

people brought android phone not miui phone, even if you provide miui 9 and 1o still being stuck on android lollipop is like you bought a 2014 phone

In all fairness ... moreFirst of all fortune cookie is an American thing, nothing to do with China you xenophobe. Secondly just because Xiaomi has one bad product doesn't mean all their products are bad. Oneplus One had bad hardware and so did lot of Huawei phones.
Thirdly I would rather have better software to go along with good hardware. Oneplus has its buggy rendition of Android and Huawei is very well known for its cartoonish UI.
I am not saying Xiaomi is better than them. Just pointing out they are equally bad. You get what you pay for.
