LED is still trying to reach xenon brightness and it's stil not even close cause of the colour the flash gives off it's not white and natural enough
even if 2 LED lighters where on a device like my N900

not even a digital camera can use it's light to record at night XD

if you look at all the smartphones out there
iphone 2g,3g and 3gS are all antient
07 and no 3g no FF camera
no LED flash
my 6270 from years ago had LED flash,was able to recorde video and has stero speakers....no no excuse for apple at all

has BT 3.0
HDMI mini out
AMOLED screen
12mp cameran with zenon Flash
some android phones don`t even have that crap
plus
if the ARM11 that they are using can be programmed easier hey change it
to something that they are unfamiliar with
plus there are different versions and models of the ARM11 lol
everyone knows that

N8 is ONLY designed for camera!!!! not for video cause it got no led light IT sucks at EVERYTHIN ELSE!!!!! so HAMMER that down PPL!

well this is FACT Nokia is back wih TECH . Nokia have something good about HDMI ,BLUETOOTH but what else ???
i use to say : OLD-FASHION FANS. Nokia today is not as it was before .
Nokia is LEGEND like SONY , but now day´s is SAMSUNG and in future will be SYNAPSE PHONES .

Something tells me that smartphone, powerful enough (probably 4-core or 8-core ARM processor) that easily will be able to replace home PCs without loosing any performance in OS department, won't be Nokia at all.

my firends N95-1 has that feature
and HD output the N8 has that :D which i love
just like a PC why change the whole thing when you can add on what you need and remove what you don`t

I'm sure that using more power more memory bigger screen today, forces ahead the speed of technological progress. And company that stopped on 600 MHz and 512 MB is simply trying to slow technological progress down, to get more money from customers by selling yesterday's toys, using marketing and and fairytales about superior OS (I'm talking about Nokia and Symbian)
I want my mobile phone from two years by now, to be powerful enough to connect it to High Definition Screen screen on my desk and a keyboard, and to use it as a main computer.

android looks to me that it just concentraits on power cause the OS just gets heavier and heavier every update
with symbian they use the minimum and build up and can be optimized at anytime
just like when the 5800 came out and it was at 369mhz and went up to 434mhz
and then 600mhz and now 680mhz
for all the touch devices for nokia
android
has all these dumb layers that just mess up the OS in general
and then with the different layers comes the hardware
so no android phone will be alike
but all so alot would be missing
looks what nokia has done again
one OS and different hardware
N8- full all around features
N7- business
c7- affordable 3.5 inch touchscreen phone
c6-01 for peole that want a smaller form factor but still want the touch
all running the same OS and will get the same updates at the same time when all are released
X7 - pure music oriented

By far the best os I used Android!!!!
I used to ios and symbian. one is to easy to use and the other...bah slow as hell and a boring interface. (hope for symbian os to be improved, because the older version is so boring )

i honestly thing that no phone should need hardware that rivals a netbook....
i i've been using linux for quite a while now and
the minimum requirements are what the platform thrives on.it's the same with symbian
if you noticed how symbian3 runs fine on 680Mhz ARM11 and 256RAM
then why
have 800mhz or 1ghz
and 512RAM or even 1gb when it`s not nessesary
it`s just like having a ferrari in the city.....waste of money it`s just for show
get a sedan or something that`s more for your surroundings and other
instead of pure speed an not being able to use it

I think Nokia has great phones but they dont seem to be pushing technology forward. I switched to android because I thought it was evolving faster than others and samsung seems to be pushing newer mobile technology. Meego looks like it might be great if they ever get it off the ground.

Dont look bad to me. Not the best but not bad. I am not looking for the best camera phone anyway, just pure android 2.3, that dual core, front facing cam, beautiful display and the features we dont know yet.

GUY´S stop this topic about ANDROID , SYMBIAN ETC .
EVERY company or OS will have their followers which are "BLIND" (if i can say so ) for tha company or OS .
u will do nothing if u tell him that SYMBIAN SUCK or ANDROID SUCK . if ur phone is SYMBIAN u will protect that OS , if ur phone is ANDROID u will try to say bad words for SYMBIAN . feels like thet .
WELL u can reply and say what u wish , but this is true . my only mistake in my comment is that my english is poor .
