Android 7.0 Nougat update starts hitting Motorola Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus

I have given up the hope to get any updates to my Moto G4 Plus. Lenovo can´t even provide security updates.
It is a shame that Google sold Motorola to a totally incompetent company that destroyed Motorola brand. Lenovo probably will soon stop selling mobile phones because they have according to news fired most of their mobile phone staff.

I am beyond frustrated at this point and there is no excuse for such a delay on relatively vanilla Android. What really upsets me is how India received the update last year! I have never seen such incompetence! A major OEM rolls out an update to one region almost immediately and has everyone else waiting and waiting. By the time my Moto G4 Plus receives Nougat (if it does) I won't even own this device anymore. I am disgusted! Motorola is a joke now and it's sad what Lenovo has done to such a reputable company. There is no logical reasoning behind India receiving Nougat back in October while in the states we are going into March of 2017 and still no Nougat! Nor a single patch. In fact, this phone is full of bugs and you can thank Motorola and the fragmentation caused by rolling out Nougat to only select regions. Some Moto G4 have Nougat and most do not! This has caused so many problems! Motorola refuses to respond to the simple question "Why is it taking so long to roll out the Nougat update to the rest of us?" It looks to me that lenovo/Motorola only care about their Indian based consumers and that insults me. If Lenovo/Motorola actually believe the world hasn't noticed, they are mistaken... I'm actually going to enjoy watching sales plummet for this OEM. Not a happy customer when the OEM I went with deliberately neglects their products outside of India. There is no excuse! Same exact phone w/ maybe a few minor differences if that! One region has enjoyed the latest version of Android since October 2016 while the rest of the world waits and waits and waits and waits! "Soon" says Motorola support back in December 2016. All credibility is lost by now. The image is even available! What is the hold up on the OTA? Don't ask Motorola and expect an honest response. If you are not an Indian consumer it's clear Lenovo/Motorola could care less.

Moto employee on damage limitation campaign, very quick to bring up names of other manufacturers.
What they call small features is rubbish, for me its about security. Your phone is only as safe as its last security update.

I'm never buying from Motorola again. No Nougat update since getting the phone in October. Samsung got their phones updated to Nougat before a lot of other companies (besides phones shipped with 7.0). That's a first for a heavy Android skin. Why can't Motorola do that for their mid range line up, the Moto G?

1. Multi-window mode would be great as I like multi tasking on my phone.
2. Grouped notifications would be useful as I get a lot of notifications in a day and I would like them to be a bit neater in my notification shade.
3. Setting up notifications is a useful feature as i would like to add more granularity to each notification so I can show some in the lockscreen but not all.
4. A native data saver is useful as I have a monthly data cap so it would be nice if my phone could natively save me some data.
5. Being able to set up my quick settings would also be useful as there are some things in my quick settings that I don't use and I would love to replace.
6. And one handed mode would be useful because the phone is pretty big, especially in the case that I use.
Those are 6 big reasons as to why I think nougat would be a very useful update for me.
I bought the moto g4 over other phones because I thought it would get this update earlier. I really like the moto g4 but next time I am most likely just going to spend more money and get the One Plus phone.

Mobile internet is still not working in uodated naugat moto g4 , what is motorola doing. mobile internet is the most essential part of a smartphone , motorola is not ggood now

There has been bugs with several companies nougat releases so I don't see a problem waiting until a smoother healthier version is released .
And do any of you really need nougat ? I mean there is hardly any difference between android versions and I found nougat to be pretty much same old same old to be honest, I've had a Samsung galaxy s7 which was ok and a Sony xperia x compact which again was ok. neither was fantastic and neither is moto g4 , all brands have a niggle or unhappy customers....even apple.
so really apart from saying you have the latest update ,what will you really gain ? bugger all
