I'm glad this phone got released. It looks awesome. Makes me excited about iphone5. With this impressive Nexus S, it will challenge and push Apple to produce an awesome iphone5. Can't wait.

people using nokia or other phones are doing on their own free will. To the google lovers - please get on with your phone (and your life! ), enjoy them and don't bother about us. There are far better things to do than bitch about phones! All the best!

I'm HTC Hero user. Still eye-ing which next android phone to upgrade.
between HTC dhd, psp phone, and this nexus S.. nothing move my interest as wanted to get it.
Android seriously needs better gaming platform, that can play big MB games like iphones, and I don't see it coming. and certainly not, with this gingerbread.
if this trend continues, i would move to iphone just for the sake of the quality games.
Doesn't Google executives see this flaws?

I guess I'll just stick with my Desire Z, so what if I don't have the Hummingbird, my 800 runs circles around almost everything anyways lol. This phone is pretty cool but not that amazing. Other then the processor, screen, and OS (least for now). It's not that much better then anything else out there.

Remember that the Nexus S and the Nexus One are "developer" phones and are intended to be a reference phone for the Android OS.

In America, the MSRP set by Google for the Nexus S is only €395. We Americans sure are damn lucky!

This is going to be the most over-hyped money making phone Samsung and Google could combine to make. And just before Christmas, they couldn't have timed it better. That said, I won't even consider buying this phone because it's just going to be weeks (or days with SE announcing their new phone soon) before something that screams NEW FEATURES rather than performance upgrades steals the limelight. People owning recent androids won't be willing to make the expensive trade for a minor upgrade over the SGS. My expectations were higher. If you wanted something to over-take the iphone sales this christmas, this wasn't it.

Im a Nokia Fan and i will also take the N8 cause it will take much timme till the Dual Core CPUs will be available next year...
When i compare the operating systems then i can really say that Android has much potential to be a leading platform..its open source and also the number of apps are increasing very fast..
If MeeGo wont satisfy my expectatations so then theres android alternative..
But the rest like iOS, symbian, bada os or web os are platforms which are also great but android is the only OS which combines nice UI with functionality..

still the cam is lagging behind.when there are 12Mp cams already out there , there is no sense in sticking on to 5Mp cam

i was about to buy it for more than $800 on ebay but with those specs...no way! At least put 32gb if no microSD card slot...And WTH, 3G compatible only with T-mobile, this is the joke of the year! BS BS BS BS! I have the captivate so i see no points buying this device except to have the latest OS update and a led flash! Google I'm disappointed!

Are google serious releasing this???!! I mean give me one reason to buy this over the SGS, come on this is very sad.
Where did the dual core proessor and the 8mp camera go? Nothing, just a sgs with a led flash. Shame on you google, and don't try to fool us with gingerbread because the os is no different that 2.2 with minor improvments.
It's like the difference between android 2 and 2.1
