I think its just payed to happen by one of other major players - apple, huawei... There is nothing wrong with note series. I'm using s-series since SIII and I'm satisfied more than other brands. If samsung do such thing for other brand, that will be over for it. :D

No surprises here, Shamsung's new upgrade strategy for Note8 is a perfect example of what type of a company Shamsung is. Don't know what comes first, customers or money?If the customers came first, let Note7 owners exchange their defected devices for a S7 Edge and use it as a loaner than when Shamsung is ready to behavior and release a proper Note8 than let them exchange for FREE not 50% of value. We aren't happy already and you want us to give you more money. Take a hike Shamsung.

Well maybe there was a conspiracy , a third party app in disguise , some trojan/worm or something to halt the sales of one of the best phones ever (up till now), it cant be always a manufacturing defect , samsung has had been doin this for 6 gens in row (it means 6 years) why particularly for the one who skipped 6! to 7 strange! maybe they should've stick to 6 :)

I had shown the phone on the same day when I purchased it they refused to take it and said I have damaged it.

I have couple of friends who are holding onto their Note 7s and they dont want to return it ... they are working fine no problem at all
I think there is some kind of conspiracy ... cause this was a brilliant phone in features and it would have been threat to many big launches so we cant deny that possiblity

Anonymous, 24 Oct 2016you are lucky if you live in a developed country. otherwise... moreSadly my phone does not have warranty, so I had to pay it. My cousin had an M4 I believe, and he tried to use it in water, and... So Sony has some problems if we are talking about this.
The camera quality is not as good(picture quality) as Samsung( the blur in the corners are there, and are there even on the X series, and probably on the XZ as well).
The battery is really good. I am satisfied with it. Audio quality is good too, and my earphones are just amazing!!!
So Sony needs to come up with something new if they wants to get people's attention, and they need to fix camera issues.

sony will never win against sammy forever. even after this note 7 boom accident, sony will still be a looser.

Why they don't remove all the components first to check what's the problem? Maybe the design has affect the battery until it start to fire, right? Because you see that the successful Galaxy Note Edge and then compare between the Note7, what's the different between them. Sorry for my bad English if have cuz' I'm from Malaysia.
