Indeed Samsung is clueless! I'll give Samsung a clue: karma!!
After the farce with the Note2, which i never got back van their repair shop and not even a refund or an apology, Samsung is now suffering the fallout of karma!!
I'm waiting for Samsung to call me personally and provide me a substantial compensation for all the suffering i had with the note2 and a public apology;
only after this, i may consider to give them and the future note's my blessing.

I've said this before, but the Note Series are the only Samsungs I like because of the S Pen utility. If they shut down the whole Note line from here, I'll be sad if there's no rebranding. As far as I know, some Note 7 users have had absolutely no problems using it, while some have had the explosion happen. After the second recall (which many people didn't follow), the people currently using Note 7 phones haven't reported explosions? I mean, it's good, but it leaves me wondering about why they haven't if they all use the same components with the same problem.

My s4 had a really bad lag and after a year of use I couldn't charge the phone anymore ; and now this problem with note 7(BOOM). I got a sony xperia xz and its so good ; I love it!! No more Samsung!!

It's the shape and structure of the note 7, probably allowing the battery to bend when placed in the back pocket or hip pocket while sitting down. A small percentage of users probably did not place back their pen stylus when they pocketed their phones will cause undue bending of the battery.
Everything else such as circuitry, circuitry protection, fast charge, wireless charge even vendor manufacturer is already the same used in other models.
Bending the battery a certain way will cause it to be vulnerable during fast charge or discharge.
