[deleted post]obviously you missed the part where the article said "...Except that it's not true and there is no such Gingerbread requirement and that was confirmed by the Android guru Dan Morill." Read carefully and analyze.

How disappointing. Tis another time that Google turned down a good phone. So theyre like saying "Dont buy Optimus" and "We will jumpship to a new OS because Android is cr@p, maybe WP7 or Maemo."

Anonymous, 08 Dec 2010I doubt any one actually cares. The current UK price is aro... moreThe Orange San Francisco is a way better phone.
I only hope that Orange Romania will bring it with a good price.
Unfortunately, Orange Romania's prices are pretty high, the Orange Boston starts at 100+ euros... pretty expensive for what it offers.
So, if they do bring it in, it's probably going to cost even more...
While the Optimus One is 9 euros at Vodafone.

I doubt any one actually cares. The current UK price is around £230 and that is not a bargain, especially when everyone is busy buying the orange san francisco at £99 (a phone which you seem to keep ignoring time and time again).

Well, that's an "open" and even "open sourced" OS for you. Or is that a lie?

I always knew this 1Ghz requirement was just incorrect. I mean, if it had been true, it would have meant that only high end phones would have received future updates after Froyo. Although I'm not too hopeful that it'll come for my Galaxy 3 either..
