I think big companies CAN innovate cz they have a brand name running for them, unlike smaller companies, and they can advertise it heavily. But those big companies say its too risky cz if it does not sell well, or worse if it has bad problems, it will hurt their brand reputation wich is very important.

Why would Apple put a curved screen on a phone? It's a gimmick that adds no purpose or value. Just look at Samesung's attempts at curved screen "innovation" for proof.

OLED is just another display with its own Pros and Cons like any other display technologies. There is nothing Mobile Phone manufacturers can offer with the current scheme of things in place. Making Mobile Phones smarter, browser, media device(social media inclusive), health companion, Wallet, Camera, etc....Adding more features and functionalities (other than security) on top these long list of features and functionalities may confuse the end user. I think radical steps may need to come in force like Google Assistance with voice enabled/supported assistance in addition to using screens..Next set of iterations of Mobiles can only restrict themselves on Stereo Speakers, Advanced Cameras, Security systems, precious metals etc...beyond this very difficult to bring new innovations....without compromising the ease of use or complexity in Software (which would kill the product eventually).

Apple Ian copying Samsung which copied the original iPhone anyways, so they are copying something Samsung had no business of making if not for the 1st iPhone. I'm glad their copying Samsung. Apple had the idea of a curved screen since 2012. Samsung found the patent and decided to quickly come out with one, again copying Apple. Well done Apple. Love you guys. Just like those dead beat Chinese manufacturers . Samsung copied the original iPhone, Apple Pay, finger print unlock, and cloud based service. They also copied the iPad.

Instead of copying samsung apple should be working on reducing those i-bezels. Apple Innovation also seem to be gone with steve jobs.

Do not know what IPhone fan could react if this rumors became true... Are they going to kiss Samsung Ass & others again? They already kiss twice before.. 1st when come up with 4.7" screen & 2nd 5.5" screen after Apple claim 3.5" screen is the BEST size for smartphone... now with OLED & Edge screen... 🤔
