BTW none in his right mind says thst calibrated oleds have fake colors. They are the only screens bought by image quality specialists/lovers. They have a similar position in movie-philes as Plasma did before it. Only (tech) peasants buy LCDs (now or ever)

But yeah, you're totally right about it being fragile. Its why I'd rather it was flat too. I've never dropped a phone before, but still want assurance.

It's all new iOLED tech. The curved screen concept was Apple's own patent next, Samsung went into the future and stole the tech from Apple. And said time traveling tech, also Apple's. They are the leaders in innovation in all technology, past present or future.

I hate curved displays because they count the curved sides in the measurement. Thus, a 5.5" curved phone will have less usable space than a flat 5.5".
Oh, and glass is brittle -- curves are not going to be able to deal with any flex.
But hey, it looks fancy, I guess.

The next iPhone is a proof in point, it will be oled or amoled, it could be a Sharp, Samsung or LG who provide the display.
But I thought all iPhones will never need a display greater than 326ppi, because Apple say the human eye can not see the detail !!!
It seems they can, and the iPhone 7 could of had a better display.

What I do is spend possibly a month before I buy a new phone and then I keep it
About a year later many phone are being released that have better specs
Samsung have many phones on which to speed features
As Apple not it cannot give all the features, so that is why the slowest in adding new features
Even I am aware of which iPhone are due to colour
My point is that Apple owners are " made to feel guilty and some even Buy an iPhone every year
Which is odd given the few changes that have been added. So give it is a flagship phone shows intent to delay
So for latest software
In some cases, you can find an app appstore.
So I am not going to upgrade because the processor is slightly faster a couple more mega pixel, wireless charging which is useless or impractical in the city centre
Faster charge I don't know as I can get + 60 in 60 minutes when nearly discharged, but 40% +60 fully charged is 90+ minutes (I think same result measured when low or depleted
