Xiaomi surely won't have enough stock to meet demand.

Interesting concepy but it doesn't seem very practical for me not to have the bezels. When I play games or watch videos in landscape mode, I always hold my phone from the bezels. If you don't have any, it's very easy to touch the screen..
Either way it has one nice design, but frankly I'd never touch a Chinese phone. Software updates suck, service centers don't exist outside Asia and also we all know they make phones to last max 2 years if you're lucky - quality build.
Also, Grey1213 is notoriously known for being sammy's boy toy and whatever phone you're talking about, if it's not from Shamesung he will say bad things about it even though he never touched or seen it in real life.
In other words, he's just a pathetic guy everyone should ignore. I bet he also owns one of those exploding washing machines Shamesung had to recall by the millions.

AnonD-442781, 06 Nov 2016Those companies didn't do it first because it is a gimmick,... moreIt's not permanent. It's up to the app's discretion on how they use the nav bar. Recording videos with the MIUI camera app for example shows the full scene without the nav bar. The home screen also extends and blends the current wallpaper so it's not that noticeable. Watching videos also just turns the nav bar into black lines.

Stop jumping into conclusions especially if you haven't used the phone yourself. Such bias sigh.

AnonD-287672, 06 Nov 2016Well then , why didn't those companies do it first? It's no... moreThose companies didn't do it first because it is a gimmick, as I had explained. All they did was remove the top part of the phone and use that space for a useless permanent navigation bar. Other than that it is a pretty normal ~6" display with 78-80% screen to body ratio. Huawei has been doing that with the mate series already.

AnonD-287672, 06 Nov 2016Well then , why didn't those companies do it first? It's no... moreJust testing then have no successor. Just like Sony testing Z5 Premium 4K display. Then, the Z series dead amd no successor of 4K display ever again. This bezel free Mi Mix might be facing the same fate. Even Sharp Aquos series is not seeing a successor after releasing three models of similar phone. Concept phone simply die out in real world. No one buys them unless it is a solid flagship that will change the entire mobile phone trend. Samsung curved edge display takes 3 years before other manufacturer start copying them. No longer a gimmick and become a solid trend. Bezel free phone had been released so many time but not many are successful with the concept. I have seen ZTE doing the edge-to-edge Nubia concept. It was the hottest phone at that time and making the news every week. Looks nice but now, all is silence. Where are you hiding ZTE? No plan to continue with the concept? Xiaomi better have a long term plan with this concept or it will definitely disappear and no one will ever remember Mi Mix ever exist, just like what happened to Sharp. Btw, that iphone in the poll is totally irrelevant.

I voted for the slightly different specs because I consider a smaller display would be more appropriate and not because of the actual internals.

e-sr4, 06 Nov 2016That's massive victory against those SamFanboys and iphoneL... moreHow is it a victory? What do people who saw it as a meaningless gimmick vote for?

All this phone did is get rid of the top part, and use that space to expand the display vertically to 17:9 and have a permanent Nav bar. If you actually watch videos and play games and stuff, the nav will always be there, and you have a 6.1" display and a 78.9% screen to body ratio. Not much different to the Huawei mate series.

The whole point of it was to dupe people like you into thinking they did something special, when in reality they haven't. I'd take slick thin bezels over gimmicks any day of the week.
