htc lover, 19 Dec 2010plz anyone telme that can i update htc magic to android 2.2... moreYou can in fact update over WiFi. I do warn anyone updating about a few things: 1) There are two updates, the first one is small and doesnt take long to install, it just prepares your phone for 2.2 2) The second update is about 45MB and takes ages to install. For some reason it took about 4 hours for my phone to recognize there was a second update so be patient. Thanks HTC!

U'll first flash ur kernel using fastboot to get clockworkmod, to do this ull need to downgrade to 1.6 to root ur magic with androot.. then go to xda forum, in the magic section ull find cyangen mod 6.1 with a lot of instructions all over the place once it's flashed ill need to get setcpu app and it will let u overclock... easiest is to go to xda forum and read throught the threads... hope you get it done.. it's confusing at first, but once u get the ball rolling, it's as easy as pie

Again, HTC showing their support for all of their devices.

Meanwhile, Motorola are struggling to meet their own deadlines when it comes to getting Froyo out for the Milestone. Not to mention the fact that they refuse to update most of the devices that the American equivalents have had for months.

If you're looking for a Android phone, please don't get a Motorola.

This is exciting stuff for our customers. Android fones are awsome and we always get people coming in asking more about android than anything else. Long live android :)

I suppose this is due to the fact that the Magic doesn't have the Sense UI to start with, meaning a minimal porting effort... shall we hope Froyo for the HTC Hero ? Guess not :)

I totally dislike touch-driven cellphones. As for the platforms they may rely on, I don't think we should care that much about them as long as they provide the basics.
