While we are working to pull the Note 7 out of service, business use phones, and replace it we receive update notices from Samsung on the phones. Like a responsible user we download the update only to find out Samsung has now reprogrammed the phones battery to drop to a maximum charge or 60%. We get Samsung wants these returned just as we want to replace them as time permits.
As a result of Samsungs deceptive attack and abuse of use of access to our property our business is restricted by having to have the phone on a power supply which as anyone who works away from a desk understands the importance of cell communication. Strangley Samsung doesn't care about its customers, these phones are not the property of Samsung nor are they leased.
Don't waste your time calling Samsung customer service they said sorry nothing we can do and no you can't speak with anyone else. They refuse to provide contact of anyone that actually makes decisions. Don't call tech support they're in Manila and anyone who has had to deal with out of US call centers knows what that call was like.
To Samsung
We are a small company that spens thousands annually on cell phone and tablet purchases. Yes we realize our dollars don't matter. It's the behavior of the staff of Samsung we dealt with who state it's the company that has decided not to tell the consumer that if you download the update you will have you device infected and rendered partially useless.
We will never purchase a device manufactured by Samsung and we will be vocal to our customers and vendors which will reach thousands of people about the treatment we received from Samsung. We will encourage all business owners to consider looking at other manufacturers when replacing devices. Samsung you have lost a loyal customer as a result of your deceptive and manipulative business practices.

Anonymous, 10 Nov 2016samsung did a big mistake, and even after that.. sony still... moreAs far as I checked Sony got a little boost in sale this year, it may not be big but it's still a boost while shamsung lost billions when buyers switched from samplode phones to iPhones or other Anroid Brands. And those customers wil never buy another shamsung blow phone.

Apple, being the pride of US, both may be capable of damaging others simply to protect their interest, considering that the note7 is born in asia. Conspiracy here and there wont take you a minute to judge, esp trump being around, goodluck on international trades.

D9, 09 Nov 2016I think there are different market strategy in the field, t... moreWhat's wrong with high, mid and low end offer? 3 phones a year, nice and polished, so everyone can get what they want. Half way through the year a phablet. Instead of this, Samsung goes for every letter of the alphabet, throwing the phones left and right. That had to come back and bite them in the a$$ one day.

If you ask me it was a well planned sabotage. Basically all you have to do is look at how many more Note 7s exploded or caught fire after Samsung had to recall Note 7, none. With the specs and hype that was behind it, it was going to be the most sold phone made by them. There is still many Note 7s around and nothing its happening, neither to all the Note 7s before they were returned after Samsung terminated production. Last but not least is the reason why Samsung changed the battery and issues still happened, but now even though they are investigating with 3rd parties and they havent found the issue yet.

[deleted post]There are already better products around you. You just need to come out of the Samsung universe and you could get variety in products on the basis of price and quality. You just need to make a decision, either let your hands burn with your Galaxies or go for a better phone which is more durable.
