Hope it will still have AMOLED display (Full HD res). No need for anything higher than this (just gimmick, and to spend more battery). Let's see how more screen-on time it will give us with this 10% increase in battery and updated chipset. A yet better camera would be perfect! Tough competition for the Pixel XL.

Good timing, I was going to upgrade to a OnePlus 3 this week - I'll now hold off and see if O2 UK also take on the 3T this month.

To me it seems like it will be a replacement to S7 Note and will give a tough competition to PIXEL XL and iPhone 7 in the market.

Hope with that IMX 398 sensor they beat Pixel XL and iPhone 7 and stand tall in the DXO listing.

Did you ever tried to live with a modern Android, even a single day? So please stop the hate speech and start using your head. If it was so bad did Android account to almost 90% of the global smartphone shipments?!?

PrinceWenle, 09 Nov 2016Well from the info i got is their AMOLED running out of sto... moreAlthough it would be amazing if it happened that way, from the perspective of a company selling this phones, that would make little sense (they would be just iterating their design).

I think they want to attempt to raise the price-point, that means something new to justify it.
If people will accept that it's an entirely different manner, and probably why they aren't trying it out in an entirely new phone (such as OP4) -- which would potentially mean losing all money invested into its design. This way they get to try-out new things with the least amount of investment necessary. On the other hand, consumers do get an updated model that may be able to fight with the latest crop of flagships (all whilst not discarding previous buyers of the OP3, keeping support 100% interchangeable between the phones).

                            Just my view, not "gospel".

I still don't understand how a device that is running Android can be called "flagship". It's the buggiest, least secure, least reliable, least developed user interface, messiest file system, worst personal assistant, etc.

New flagship phones should run Windows, in order to be called "flagships". A flagship phone should be close to perfection.

but based from an article i'd read, Carl Pie clarified that they will be sticking to Optic AMOLED for OP3T.

T-7 means 7 days left to unveil the product. US Military and Nasa uses the same countdown format.

Well from the info i got is their AMOLED running out of stock and they replace it by IPS.

To compensate the AMOLED, they upgrade SD820 to SD821 and upgrade some other parts.

                                        Basically it's Op3 non-Amoled version.
