more screen equals more display equals better
I double my phone as multimedia device so bigger the better
I don't look at anything smaller than my current phone display of 5"

6.2" is nice ... now if sammy can make it bigger yet retain the phone overall size i'll buy

Hell yeah, if there's a 6.2" variant I'll buy it. Even if it costs 1 000 Euro. This will be like the perfect phone.

This would be a rather strange decision. They would fail to deliver a pocketable top-notch waterproof phone with great usability and battery-capacity. Creating an 'edged' variant of the classic Galaxy s7 would have made a ideal pocketable device. A huge screen without a stylus makes little sense, just decreases usability and drains the battery and processor. The average user wants a super powerfull handset that fits their pocket and that delivers great battery-life with a reasonable sized screen. Many chose the Galaxy S7 Edge variant because, although it's bigger, it feels more pocketable compared to the sharp edged classic Galaxy S7. But for many it is still way too big. The reasonable footprint of the iphone 7 makes it popular, if Samsung could create a waterproof device with the same footprint but a 5.1 inch screen, they could win over many Apple users. A bigger screen looks nice but it makes little sense without a stylus. Samsung shouldn't try to copy their failed Note without a stylus, it makes no sense. Just get over it and make 2 great handsets targeting both sides of the market. A pocketable powerfull device with great batterylife, another Galaxy S7 edge or even Note sized device for the powerusers including the stylus.

Based on the comments, I can say that most people just read the headlines and the description and didn't bother to read the full article.

Levy, 09 Nov 2016So how big will the Note 8 be? 7 inches? These screen sizes... moreAn option is always good, but as long as the small (less than 6") are only thing they offer, that's not good.

that would be great, this will entice many into getting a samsung device

Levy, 09 Nov 2016So how big will the Note 8 be? 7 inches? These screen sizes... moreIf the report is true, than the Galaxy S8 will be the one of the most compact smartphone ever build. The 5.7 inch Galaxy S8 will be about the same size as the 5.1 inch Galaxy S7. So your argument about people will be 'alienate' by the jump in screen size is invalid

So how big will the Note 8 be? 7 inches? These screen sizes, if true, are way too large will alienate many people who were perfectly happy with the 5.1" screen so Samsung should smarten up and keep the smaller size as an option.

S Series were made for people who wanted medium size smartphones with top features , not gigantor phones . 5.5 inch are for big , gigantic people with large hands .
I use S6 edge for , now , i see s7 edge and is gigantic , i can t use that kind of phone even if someone give it to me for free .
Samsung should make smartphones for every type of person , not all of us want to speak to our tv
