Michel, 21 Dec 2010Bada is good, it has a lots of features out of the box, but... moreyahoo messenger is a basic functionality for a phone!!!!!!!!!!who told you this stupid joke???
any way parlingo supports yahoo messenger just install newer version ,social hub services will substitute parlingo gradually and it is the best sns that you can get for a mobile phone.
facebook,twitter,youtube....they are not short cuts
and there is a paid twitter app in the app store which one of the best.
yas GPU = 90 million triangles and the performance is only comparable to 4g (they share the same processor)
audio quality is amazing you might used a Chinese copy, the phone supports 5.1 virtual sound, did you try it???????
the browser is very fast ,supports flash, pinch to zoom with no issues especially in bada 1.2 ,it is true about the only known extensions download but you can use opera mini or uc browser and it is not a major issue ,it can be fixed by a firmware
tell now know restart with the broser although i still didn't upgrade the firmware (still using bada 1.0)
in the developer site they said the ram of the wave 256mb but they also said that the single app can reach 40-50 mb ,not as your brain get it,
in the old bada 1.0 You'll get the "not enough memory" pop-up message only when you try to launch a large sized game and an online widgets running ,not as your claims, and this issue has been fixed in bada 1.2
"Bada 2.0 ? I'll say never with only 256MB of ram."
the processor speed is more important than the ram regarding newer os

[deleted post]If it wasnt popular, it wouldnt be filled with "spammers" right? See the logic
The ratings are super easy to be manipulated. The reason why wave is still top is because a few people will give a shit about the wave, so they couldnt care less to hate it, while fans still happily visit the wave page everyday and vote 10,10,10.
What you should be looking at is the daily hits count. At the rate of 40k plus visits in a day, it soon wont be long that the n8 will overtake the 5800 as the most visited smartphone page ever.

[deleted post]Ooi! the n8 has 256 ram with support of virtual ram. So get your fact right too. And symbian^3 may look the same but there are a heck lot of changes since the previous crappy (yeah that's right! even i think is crappy) s60 version 5
and why many people are taking the n8 as a comparison to the wave? especially when someone says something bad about wave or bada

Bada is good, it has a lots of features out of the box, but the basic functionality is missing, even on my old SE I was using a yahoo messenger client.
On my Wave ? Not a chance, and the preinstalled client (parlingo) sucks big time. Facebook, tweeter, youtube ? Just some lame makeovers. YouTUBE "app" is just a shortcut to the mobile youtube.
GPU = 90 million triangles ? The performance is lower than on a 3G.
Bad audio driver, the speaker cracks from time to time.
The browser is a joke, it has the the worse pinch-zoom performance see on a mobile phone. You can download files only with the extensions, phone know about. Browsing some sites will get the phone reboot itself.
A maximum of 88 apps installed by the user (no folders).
The biggest problem: WAVE has only 256MB of RAM, not 512MB as is listed on many phones sites, so this gives to the user only 40-50 of RAM for the apps and widgets. It suffers from memory leaks. You'll get the "not enough memory" pop-up message from time to time with only one app running and 2-3 small widgets loaded.
Bada 2.0 ? I'll say never with only 256MB of ram.
Anyway, with all of these problems, Symbian sucks more than bada. I've used it, and is so laggy and crashing all the time, and that awful UI is even worse. Sorry, but from the time when the 1st iOS came out, people seen that phones can do better.
It's like using WIN2K when Windows 7 is already available from some years ...

phones fan, 21 Dec 2010let's speak about games and don't be a kid and tell me game... moreYou have no proof of what you claim on iOS. Millions hack apps while less pay? Either provide proof or don't say such baseless things.
Bada may have "unhackable apps" at the time but you're not gonna sit here and say their SDK is invincible. It happens on every platform, it's practically inevitable those apps will be cracked.

Be realistic ABOUT B, 21 Dec 2010Come on people, be realistic... BADA cant match iOS and And... morelet's speak about games and don't be a kid and tell me games are only for kids,iOS has the best and the largest collection of games after it should be android but no it is not android ,how is that?
because big games companies has to develop the same game in 3 or versions due to software and hardware difference between different android phones add to that the ease to hack android apps, but in bada things are different and that is why bada has more iphone quality games than android, smasung is focusing on build an os that is difficult to hack and difficult to accept hacked apps although some success was achieved by in bada 1.0 but samsung released bada 1.0.2 which fixed the problem and so bada owners will pay for the apps if they want newer firmware and this is why bada will success, because the developers will gain more money with bada as their apps will not be hacked like in android, you might say look to the iphone although its hacked but the developers still getting much money, the answer is simple....there are millions of iphone users world wide most of them using the hacked stolen apps but there are few thousands to few millions who are paying for their apps and keep the developers rich.

Someone just get Gingerbread on the original Wave already! It shouldn't be that hard! If the Nexus S and Galaxy S already have it, then the upgrade should be due for the original Wave. Samsung Wave > all in regards of price...

Come on people, be realistic... BADA cant match iOS and Android even PALM OS because they dont have support from the grate companies. Go to Samsung Apps and see if you know more than 3 programs in their menu (...dont be a kid and come here to say the 3 programs you know... it´s metaphorical) Historicaly The grate success of PALM, NINTENDO ,PLAYSTATION, etc... was the support of apps and games from big companies, from games and apps that have a name in the market. So BADA cant grow without that. Even grate consoles or phones with grate spects but havent this kind of support die miserably.

Mr. Right, 21 Dec 2010Apps doesn't tell a good phone. Its about the overall perfo... moreTotally agreed.
Symbian sucks, time to retire this retarded cripple os,lag, hang, unintuitive UI still exist in symbian even in n8.
Bada?
don't count too much from a company with lousy update, see how many users in samsuck forum complaining about not getting the latest os on their handsets.
As for android good luck for copying iOS,but even their latest phones like galaxy s or desire are still miles away compared to iOS.
iOS might not become number one and frankly that's not really the case cause the user will still be loyal to apple,i'm not trying to be a fanboy, but those who owned an apple product knows exactly what you mean about the overall performance and features.

Anonymous, 21 Dec 2010what the hell are you talking about almost all Symbian apps... moreexcusse me, but apps for symbian os are mostly in the native format, it is only the games that are mostly in java format cause developers refuse to develop for the older symbian versions anymore (with the exception of symbian^3, there are some java games, but only a few). Dont believe me check the forums.
