It runs apps through the Windows Store anyway. Can you iPad multitask ?
Run CAD software?
Its faster in doing what? Playing cut the rope ?
Surface sales are increasing, Surface Book was declared the best laptop of the year a the T3 awards.
iPads, same as iPhones, will sell more because of marketing reasons.

An iPad can do everything a surface pro does (by VPNing to your desktop PC) + (far) more.
A surface pro is a bad tablet, a bad laptop. No wonder its sales cannot even touch ipad's.
If you want a good tablet you buy an ipad.
If you want to skip VPNing, you buy a real laptop like Dell XPS (again twice the battery life, bigger screen, better keyboard, all in the same footprint/price).
Surface pros are a rapidly dwindling gimmick. Had Microsoft actually cared to provide it with tablet apps and good battery life (10 years + of Screen on time) it would be sufferable.

You can get a low end Surface Pro 4 for that money. Which is way better than any iPad.

we want them on phones to lower the size of the phone .]
but for a tablet we need the bezel so our fingers dont cover the screen ...

As an iPad user for some years now. I have to admit that though the iOS is quite ok but it's a boring shit compare to android (all my phones are android). To buy a new iPad,I think I will have to consider what I can gain more from my existing one or I could move to android tablet instead.

2048 x 2732 screen resolution using a 326dpi pixel density results in a screen size of 10.5".
It's kinda obvious what Apple are doing. They are bringing the higher 2048 x 2732 screen resolution and the higher 326dpi pixel density together!

iPads are the only Apple devices that I like, and I am really excited for the iPad Air 2 successor, but although bezelless works for phones (almost), I don't think it can work for tablets, tablets need bezels.
