[deleted post]Android update module just fail. Too restricted for an open OS. Not only did you had to wait for google to update the OS, you also had to wait for your phone manufacturer to adapt the update. Consider that android manufacturer rapidly produce new Android phone (with similar spec), you can be sure that updating old model is low on their priority list.

Hmm, i was thinking about getting DEFY but now i see it won't get froyo before 6 monthes (if it dosn't get delayed!) and seems that some 2010 devices are stuck on 1.5 so most probably that DEFY won't get the gingerbread... what a pitty coz i liked DEFY's built-quality

[deleted post]Sorry i don't agree with you about android beating meego os since it's never have been released yet. Anyway if you tried maemo everybody knows it has best web browser based on mozilla where android is webkit based only and beside when it comes to desktop multitasking no os can ever beat maemo not even symbian os either. But right now wait for nokia's annoucment on releasing meego os.

Been a Motorola fan for a long time, purchased Samsung and LG when Moto pulled out of my country. Itching to own a Moto again but what killed Moto before were things like this. Hopefully the habit of not upgrading their SW ended and have 2.2 ready ASAP.

I still don't regret buying the Milestone earlier this year. But they had a chance to keep customers coming back.
My first and last phone. Now that Android is fully developed and popular, I'm not restricted to good hardware by Moto anymore.
Hail to #MOTOFAIL !

Anonymous, 22 Dec 2010It's not even in the top 5 http://www.gsmarena.com/q3_su... moreActually you do. FYI anybody can make outlandish comments like that. What you said made it seem like Sony Ericsson is going into chapter 11 bankrupty.

hehe.. thats why i didnt buy motorola milestone because motorola doesnt give much customer support for phone and updates. its a good decision that i spend more money to buy htc desire. phone is great, great customer support cause if you ask them a question, they'll respond in the next day and most of all, they update their high end devices. HTC "quietly the best!"

fragmentation is allover android devices
people who buy android phones are at mercy of manufacturers to release new versions of android
today we are on honeycomb and there are still people who are waiting for 2.2 update.... how pathetic

abhi, 23 Dec 2010Most of the companies including- samsung ,lg ,motorola &... moreYup. People, vote your wallets with HTC. You won't be dissapointed. All their high end models are on Froyo. The mid range Aria and Wildfire are in the process. The Nexus One of course will get Gingerbread! It's pretty clear that HTC is the most committed.
