AnonD-562549, 17 Nov 2016835 is going to beat iPhone 7 in Geekbench aswell as Antutu... moreApple has always had the fastest smartphones. For example when the snapdragon 820 came out it was barely faster than the a9 and the 820 came out 4 months after apple released their processor

GPU (in GFX bench) probably not.
A10 is a beast, current android flagships are not near it and theit next get would merely be matching A10 but even then ... not always.

Drax, 17 Nov 2016With the advancement in mobile GPUs, we are seeing console ... moreNaaah more like controls (honestly, touch is very bad control scheme for games) and battery life (it sips as if there is no Tommorow when gaming). Overheating can easily be solved in way similar to Sony's and Samsung's (heatpipes that drive most of the heat onto a plate that you rarely touch).

AnonD-482637, 17 Nov 201627 improved performance OR 40 efficient battery. Well done.... moreBetter make it performance. You can get more battery by simply adding 1mm in thickness (phones are way too thin anyway) which would add more Mah to the battery. Or better yet make them replaceable again (infinite battery).
Performance on the other hand is harder to come by. So please Qualcomm, turn the benefits of the shrink into better performance...

e-sr4, 17 Nov 2016Pixel actually use a pathetic underclocked/underpowered sd8... moreYes I know that they are using the 1st version of 821..
But since Pixel is using the 1st version of SD821, it is called as 821 not 820. 820 has missing features from 821. Which is the reason why you should not call Pixel as 820

Anonymous, 17 Nov 2016They have been promising 30% this 50% that for years now an... moreBlame the QHD screen resolution and the bloatwares. The gain in battery efficiency of newer SoCs is wasted on higher screen resolutions (for example QHD) and the bloatwares that are pre-installed and are running in the backround by default. Blame the manufacturers for doing it. And in the end, blame the people who think QHD screen resolution in phones is a necessity, because they got brainwashed by the marketing.

With the advancement in mobile GPUs, we are seeing console quality games like Mortal Combat X, Asphalt 8 etc on major platforms but the biggest problem is that if we play those graphics intensive games for longer durations, the phones start to heat up. This is one thing holding the mobile gaming industry back. There has to be some solutions to this..
