Its a good lead by example case because if Apple can't manufacture (or at least assemble) in the US then what chance is there for other companies?

It's almost beneficial and preferential to be a third world developing country these days. Ridiculous. Thanks globalization.

I think the reason why trump do like that is because,he just hate chinese(anti-chinese),because alot of big brand have a factory in china because due to the low cost, saving budget, and if that thing make in china, doenst mean its low quality, its all about a material they use and quality control and branding, apple, sony etc, have assembly factory in china, but still have good quality

but if it make from it origin country that much better, but the cost..

This is bad, there is some something good, but the bad outweights the good for a very large scale.

Anonymous, 18 Nov 2016Within two years from now, McDonald's entry level employee ... moreEven if they got paid $15, no American would work the crazy hours or do the monotonous task of assembling parts... they think they are too good for that.

It's not just price and wages, it's all about scalability. Foxconn employs 250-450k employees in Shenzhen alone, you can't hire that in the US in 2 years, impossible.

The reason why the manufacturing prices are so low for products made in china is because they have tons of workers that are being forced to labor like slaves for very small compensations. Moving production to America will indeed help the unemployment rating there, but I can bet that they will never work for less than minimum wage. Apple will definitely lose profit margin since they make them cheap (about $200) and then sell them at around $600-$900. Crazy, right?
