I know many people consider this price hike as bare minimum and i agree that its justified but the thing to note here is that this price hike may very well be set as minimum standard price for One plus 4. So in times to come it may be a possibility that the One plus will start to charge premium and Ultimately today's affordable flagship killer will become tomorrow's premium flagship killer. OP3 launched at 400$. OP3T avg price 460$ and OP4 may very well be priced at 500$.

I would like the opportunity to use the OP3T. Never used their phones before. My previous phones include the Galaxy Note3 and Xperia Z5 Premium. Currently I got myself a Xiaomi Mi Max and have to say nothing beats this thing for value for money.Getting back to whether the one plus is worth the extra money..you have to look at what it offers compared to say the Galaxy S7 Edge which probably right now is rated as the best Android phone around.I would have no issues buying the op3T as the processor is top notch and cameras are probably good. The upgrade in battery is a huge plus. These manufacturers underestimate how much value customers place on battery life.Anyway I think this phone has the power to attract new customers and I would happily pay the price. I find Sony phones to be the worst priced of all. The OP3T looks decent.

The title reads " OnePlus 3T, an amazing upgrade or needles price hike? ". But the poll goes " Oneplus back on the top " vs " Over priced than the competition ". What competition? Even in the present price point oneplus is not gonna have a huge competition. Gsmarena polls suck as usual.

The price hike is so minimum, damn! Don't know why people are unhappy. That battery boost alone could justify that price hike. And then there is a newer SoC, and a 16 mp selfie camera for the losers too.

ok gsmarena, your vote options aren't really good. so I can't vote. it was a nice update. I wouldn't upgrade from a oneplus 3 but I would buy the t if I wanted to switch to OP

Everyone has own options about things, so do I when I buy OP3T.

All they should have done is replace the main camera with the IMX378 (same as Google Pixel), increase the battery to 4000mAh and add an SD card slot (at the cost of making it 8mm thick, would also make for a smaller camera hump).

The SD821 is unnecessary but I suppose it's the same price as the SD820 when it launched. They could easily have asked $500 for that and truly have an unrivaled phone in terms of performance, camera, battery life and price with no weak points to it. Adding USB type C PD as an alternative to their DASH charge would also be a nice addition, that way you can fast charge it without using their proprietary charger. Customers also wouldn't feel left out with their current purchase as the new product would be in a different price group.

Well, there is really a lot to say about the upgrades, price and so on. It will take a synopsis, but just in a few words, OnePlus must maintain the same price (of approx $400). Then if they want to increase the price, they should come out with another model/ line name, OnePlus ? A letter or something, but not the OnePlus 1/2/3... series. But having said that, for me, the best value for money phone/phablet of 2016 it was and still is, is the ZTE Axon 7. Okay, it's not 100% compete, such as of the front buttons, nits, in poor light, etc. But for the price of $400 it is the best, QHD, 2f S speakers & SD slot. Obviously, i hope that ZTE will not do the same as OnePlus in this year to come?!

Needless price hike. The curent oneplus 3 is good enough and the 3T is not really an upgrade.

Battery performance can be improved through software. Increasing battery capacity by 13% while also replacing processor with a faster one will provide negligible performance difference. That faster processor will also provide negligible performance difference.

I believe what many, including me, expected was a price drop for the device, possibly with a slight improvement in materials or hardware. Instead we got a price hike, dictated by nothing other than simple human greed. At least it seems so - there is no reason for such a small upgrade, other than increasing price, following Google's desire to sell their phones at the price of iPhone. It seems OnePlus is going to be the "next iPhone killer you never asked for".

There was absolutely no reason to "update" OnePlus 3, as it didn't improve camera (same thing), it improved performance only marginally. Ideally, they had to simply cut the price down, or upgrade internals, keeping the price the same.

I believe this "update" is unnecessary. And price hike is only dictated by greed.

Needless update I would say. Would have focused on one plus 4 instead or would have launched it in 5 inch variant.

It is best suited under 350 tag. Other than this it is bullshit. Not anymore a flagship killer.
