Anonymous, 22 Nov 2016S2 with Gingerbread here....If you have Galaxy S2 you could have updated to Jelly Bean if you had wanted. You didn't update because you didn't want. You had time to do that.

So basically API 10 devices still able to visit Play Store right? It's just they won't get latest update of play service app.
They only said about stopping Play services support, but nothing about banning API 10 devices from Play Store.
There's still lot of apps that set minSdkVersion to API 10.

I remember my first Android phone, it was a Samsung Galaxy Y which had the Android 2.3 Gingerbread version. That's where I started my Android journey. RIP Gingerbread.
