Samsung readies new features for Galaxy S7's Nougat update

Some come from Nougat itself, but TouchWiz is getting a new coat of paint too.

the z force droid is not designed in china, who cares who owns motorola when you have the best thing with almost stock android and you get ota updates almost as fast as the google pixel xl (much more expesive and worse camera)

It's great that Sammy started to make some changes. If you don't like TouchWiz, no problem - just install different launcher.

            Someone Else, 24 Nov 2016I've heard that the new Nougat update default the screen re... moreYou want a pixel experience, go but Pixel..Google still sells them...and the thing that touchwiz lags is all BS ... have been using marshmallow on my S5, S6, and S7...runnings smoothly ...Touchwiz is never going anywhere or maybe replace by another skin but know this, a skin on Samsung will always be there...What would be the point of all the android manufacturer selling use phones with the same stock android and nothing to differentiate themselves..even the Pixel doesnt have stock anymore as they are now stuff thats exclusive to pixel phones...

              i am using an s7 edge and people are both right and wrong about the phone...the touchwiz which everyone remembers is that of s3 or s4..its better than that now..there is a tighter control on ram than before...so its like the oneplus3 thing...apps close faster in the background, and need to restart more frequently.. but foreground apps run like a charm..wish there was a batter control in users hands but this is how it is now..

                I'm holding the S7 for 5 months now, it runs flawlessly.
                Can't wait for the final release of android Nougat !

                  hope the motherboard can take it. The September update screwed a lot of devices in my country. Just got mine from the service today. More follows...........................

Its just that people who hav... moreyou are very wrong dude.i am using samsung phones and its laggy alright now dont try to protect samsung.i am only with samsung coz of the cyanogenmod otherwise samsungs lagwiz is no good for long term use.i hope they really have understood how laggy their ui becomes after few months and improve that issue otherwise samsung does has one of the best hardwares

                            And my Moto z force is already on Nougat
                            So much better phone than the S7 not just about updates but overall. Camera and battery is better. Front flash. Shatterproof screen. Better performance (search galaxy s7 vs z force on the youtube and you will see even the moto z(same chipset/ram/cpu clocks as moto z force) is more powerful than the s7)

                              Can't wait for it. It looks much better than the stock android now. Look at that new always on display design update, call screen, lock screen etc.. Samsung you great.

Adventures people can enable 1440p via setting. So I think the lower resolution screen will help increasing the performance of TouchWiz.

                                  i hope they have strip down their heavy touchwiz skin.otherwise it might still be called lagwiz.come on sammy show us some great things and throw away your lagwiz and give us some new pixel type buttery smooth experience
